2022/23 Sean Dyche

I don't want him
I'd like to see him play the same with the same squad in the premier league and see how it pans out before judging that one
I agree, there is a gap between the Championship and Premier league. Hence usually the promoted clubs struggle.I know Fulham are doing well, but the other two are down in the fight.

Every single thing being said about dyche sounds like what was tossed around when people were trying to convince themselves allardyce and benitez were good ideas. We will never learn. Everyone can pretend they'll be ok with his dire long ball garbage but the minute we're either safe or relegated mathematically the boo birds will start. Headed right down the same path.
The ONLY thing that matters is which manager has the best chance of keeping us up this season, no point in looking past that point, if it is between dyche and bielsa then it absolutely has to be dyche

Not particularly defending dyche but I think that argument actually works much better the other way round. All these people saying ‘at least it’d be fun’ under bielsa are living in cloud cuckoo land. Absolutely nobody thought it was fun when Martinez was bringing on extra strikers at 2-0 up and down to 10 men before losing 3-2. Nobody thought it was fun when we went to anfield and tried to go toe to toe with them only for them to obliterate us and have about 50 shots in beating us 4-0. Fans would be happy winning playing safety first and unhappy at losing playing gung ho, as you’d expect.

Ever since Moshiri joined I've been pretty stunned by the volume of otherwise pretty knowledgeable supporters who treat the prospect of British managers disdainfully.

For me it's about values. Hard work, concentration, togetherness - and talent too. Yet our 'millions' have always encouraged more debate about a presumed inevitable rise to 'crashing the top four' rather than retaining and protecting the values that already made us regular contenders in the European slots.

Reality check:
  • We still don't spend anywhere near what the top 4 spend during Mosh's stint
  • But we have instead lost a lot of what was so demonstrably successful during the Moyes era (tricky to beat, with plenty of good overseas talent like Yak, Arteta, Lukaku (OK Martinez signing but thrived on a Moyes XI), Gravesen, Pienaar and others

Alladyce took us 16th to 8th and was pilloried by many fans. I hope he snubs us - we snubbed him.
I saw Eddie Howe routinely trashed on this forum. Ask Bournemouth what they think of him - or Newcastle.
Now Dyche's being given the same treatment after a near miraculous stint at Burnley, twice promoted, European trails the lot.

Talk about poor but proud. What is there in our weekly performances, disorganisation, lack of talent emerging through our youth systems, jurassic cancerous board that's to be proud about?

We need guys with a vision and a strong identity - as the club under its current stewardship has no vision and fails to operate by values that made us successful. Do we need to be in the Championship to realise this, or do League 1 as well like Sunderland, Southampton et al?

Do we know if his coaching staff that were sacked at Burnley are working in football again?

His assistant manager Ian Woan, first-team coach Steve Stone and goalkeeping coach Billy Mercer

Seems a bit unfair to say Dyche signed crap players when a lot of them have been cheap and serviceable - Tarkowski, Keane, Pope, Ings, Wood, Weghorst, Cornet, McNeil have all been eyed or bought by other teams.

Can't be easy to attract players to Burnley either.

Did you watch Everton when we were safe with Alladyce, it was horrific football, we had bets on where I sit on when we had 1st shot at the goal, most of the time it was 73rd or 85th minutes that won those bets.
I remember playing WBA away they were bottom of the league and 82nd minute before a shot on target.
So that is why he got slated, which is what will happen with Dyche, the game is past him by, it has moved on a lot since he got Burnley to 7th

3 Of those attracted by Everton. I wouldnt say thats the best example. I still say to this day no thought was put into the keane signing. He played in a defence that had the midfield camped in front of him.

Scandalous how we’re have ended up targeting, players relegated or players from relegation scrapping teams. To now going for managers who also have been in relegation scraps, 2 sacked while their clubs on the verge last season and the other one sacked this season while his team is in the bottom 3.

Unbelievable
