2022/23 Sean Dyche

If he keeps us up, it's the biggest individual managerial achievement of any manager since Moyes finished 4th.

It would be outrageous to sack him.

I get reservations over whether he's the right man for a total rebuild - but that total rebuild isn't occurring anytime soon and certainly not prior Bramley Moore opening.

What we need is to avoid collapse, and this team is still relegation fodder.
Agree 100%.

15 games since Dyche took over the mess we were left in after the January window slammed shut, left to rely on what we had. The form table:

He doesn’t like giving Mina credit does he, he just says played well and changes subject, whereas Keane he said best player on the pitch before 2nd goal went in
still protecting his boy isn’t he, and you know what, that’s not really a bad thing considering Keane has the mental fortitude of a wet cornflake and as long as he doesn’t pick him when he isn’t performing again.

He could have been more effusive in his praise for big Yerald who played very well against Brighton, but at least he made the changes and got it tactically spot on against Brighton.

Hope he gets it right again on Sunday - I wouldn’t change a thing, aside maybe onana in for Gana.

A good manager should know what a player responds to and whether it's time for an arm round the shoulder or a bit of tough love. I think he handled that side of the Keane thing well - we all know he's a confidence player so it's difficult to see how throwing him under the bus in a press conference could ever have gone well for us. Maybe he thinks Mina needs to feel like he has something to prove rather than believing he's our saviour who can do no wrong.

I think he is a guy that overachieves, so while we have a rough squad and financial woes he is the guy for me (if he survives the relegation battle). As I said I appreciate that he is willing to look for solutions as opposed to sitting on an ineffective lineup and blaming the players- that schtick has gotten us nowhere.

With limited resources we need a guy like this. I’m not overly concerned with ambitions above our station atm. I also think he deserves a fair shot next season to prove he isn’t a guy that will just keep us safe. How will he fare when we have a clean slate? I hope he is the guy because I dread to think who we will hire next.

5 points more than our relegation rivals who all had better attacking options than us to begin with and then significantly added in January whilst we sold Gordon.

Dyche has done a brilliant job upto this point. Just a couple of positive results to go.
