Oh you mean like Garner clearly. I want us to attack down either side and not hoof all game (which we've done under Dyche as well ironically) but apparently with these players we can't, despite doing it with literally the same players earlier and all, but then went for the safe "play for draws" approach.

you like him then mate

I definitely don’t.

Why are all the top manager not managing at the bottom of all the leagues.

It’s fine saying it, but the reality is any manager on any upward career trajectory isn’t coming here under the present job conditions. It’s fairly simple they will go somewhere where they are well paid, well supported, with no third party points penalty to worry about, that will offer them the best career path - that’s not here at the moment.

I really wanted Moyes at the time, I think Dyche and Moyes are very alike.
I don't know where they are as 1) it's not my job to scout the lower leagues for every manager and 2) if I say literally any name we are definitely never going for them anyway as they're not "the safest option".

@Rita_Poon - Lampard wasn't the safe option, he was the non-Kia Jorobwhatever option we had available because we did the Everton thing of not sacking the manager when we should have and were left with no time basically. He's making a fist of it because he's not that great at his job - doubt we'd have a more adequate manager doing the same mistake over and over and expect different results. Anything past this summer, and I fear he will be here, is a mistake - we'll be one step closer to being his vision of The Royal Blue Burnley and even given the money that we will likely have - we'll sign duds he won't play for ages because they're not "Dyche ready" or some pensioners that are "experienced" and that he "trusts".

Not sure he's daft enough to go through another season like this. Wheeled and dealed to buy us some time, it'll be a butchers yard if he tries the Young experiment again, who? johnny evans for right midfield? We don't know the assurances he was sold the job, Moshiri in or out, asset stripping or looking to build - if it's build he'll walk if it's all lies. Unless it's ego, the manager that lead Everton into BMD. So many variables.

Never asked to find them mate - just gave you the reasons why it’s fantasy land! ;)

lol He went through 10 of these with Burnley

Doesn't matter what he is - his only job and his only skill is to play to not get relegated. We tout ourselves as a big club and are bewildered by teams not acknowledging us but in reality we've done it to ourselves - strived and keep striving for mediocrity or worse with every passing year and using excuses for everything, instead of realising we're spineless.

It's not though? As I gave you the example - Moyes was plucked to be in an "impossible" situation from Preston in the arse end of professional football, yet he did the job. Maybe if we recruited the manager well and with a plan for the present and the future - it's doable then, as proven by ourselves?

burnley are not Everton.
he's gotten results with a very poorly financed burnley against sides that don't like a fight.
For years the same argument went against Moyes, he's a scrapper, doesn't know good football. Let them have a couple or more footballers and see what they can muster? Dyche get's no quarter from me, but I wont critique when he has a nuclear winter to manage through.

I believe the saying is "a fair crack of the whip".

Preston were in and around the Championship playoffs at the time mate, think there was about 7 or 8 places between us and them in the pyramid at the time. Think your being a bit hyperbolic again.

He was very highly touted.

As I said they remind me of each other a lot. Prob the only difference is Moyes got his move, while Dyche stayed at Burnley and brought them up and into Europe. Moyes wasn’t really a trail blazer with a new philosphey, he understood football though.

Moyes I think would have done at Preston what Dyche did at Burnley I think, he would have brought them up eventually anyway, not sure on Europe.

I’m not a bit down beat mate, wel win games we expect to loose and loose games we expect to win, what we’re really improved on is not loosing games this season, we’ve turned some games we’ve have lost last season into draws.

We’re a team that earned 31 points this season, I don’t know why we can’t be confident up against teams in direct competition who’ve earned 20 and 24 in Luton and Forest. But I’d like a cushion between those teams.

Thats the way I’m looking at it, the table is an anomaly.
But we’re in relegation form, haven’t won since December. Not winning and lacking confidence, is a huge worry, especially when The manager thinks everything is hunky dory

And you go back to Dec and your in trophy winning form. So if your not in relegation form, all season, then well your not getting relegated.

Brentford, Everton, Forest, Luton are in the same form in their last six, with two teams below Luton and four in the same form and we’re above above most of them - that’s not actually relegation form.

Moyes had hardly any money, yet changed his Everton team drastically in 10yrs, yes he will never loose the pragmatic tag. What did dyche change at Burnley, they actually got worse over his tenure and eventually relegated for a 2nd time

What happened in December makes no difference now, the worry for us is the fixtures imo we have tough aways, very winnable home games, the problem is we haven’t won at home in ages and teams like Brentford and forest, will sit back and happily take a point knowing all the pressure will be on us. Sheffield Utd and Burnley will probably be already down with the pressure off
