2023/24 Sean Dyche

You can make an argument after the Fulham game that he is the unluckiest manager in the world, but when that trend repeats itself there is a mentality issue in the locker room. He doesn’t have these players confident enough to put it away. Short and simple.
The trend is not having a striker bought for him though mate. The players played well, created chances but aren’t finishers.
Danjuma - more of a wide forward, bit like Richarlison will score some but not clinical
Dobbin - never played this level
Garner - not a finished
Doucoure - score the old worldy but crap technique
Onana and Gana - awful finishers
Chermiti - been here ten minutes
Cannon - never played this level

So what’s Dyche supposed to do with that? He’s been left woefully short after everyone acknowledged where we were and our need for attacking reinforcements at the end of the season. Instead we bought a kid who’s not ready made, loaned a winger and loaned an injured winger - it’s a joke and away from the spotlight I bet Dyche is as fuming as we are.

He's got to stop putting square pegs in round holes when there isn't a need to.

He's going to need this Beto to hit the ground running and Mcneil to get back sharpish because another defeat against Doncaster and then Sheffield Utd and he'll be sacked.

The lack of imagination on set pieces is embarrassing from a manager who you would think would work on something so important when we don't openly create chances.

He dropped the 2 correct players today, but Gueye or Onana shouldn't have been in that side and Garner needs to be in the middle.

Even if Beto comes in, there's no creativity at all and that needs addressing
Not his fault if young has decided to have an off day in delivering good balls.

We almost scored of a set piece though...

Keep replacing the managers and the issues still arise time and again.
they will if you keep hiring crap managers.
Benitez, Lampard, Dyche all crap.
It's not complicated.

For some reason Gray is frozen out but we have 3 injured wingers.
It was obvious that Patterson was poor and fading as the game went on. The obvious move was to put on Myko (or godfrey) and switch young to the right.
He clearly gave no instruction to switch up set pieces when Young fired everything straight at their keeper.
Pickfords clearances became predictable.
He stuck with Maupay for ages but today threw Michael Keane up top at the end???
All O'Neill had to do was watch what Silva did at goodison and copy it because Dyche wasnt changing a thing, ever.
Every second half teams opposition teams take the front foot and Dyche struggles to respond.
He made the Dobbin sub which was glaringly obvious but nothing after that.

Yea, we need new ownership and a new recruitment team but Dyche has a whole pile to answer for.

Where was the square peg today mate? Aside from Garner and Danjuma I thought everyone was where they should be and the only way to start a forward was Maupay (no), Chermiti (been here a week) or Cannon (never played at this level)
I thought the line up and tactics were spot on today, as they were against Fulham, he’s just been massively let down by the board

That 2nd of was littered with awful ball after awful ball. At some point you need a coach to say "give it someone else".

It's not rocket science, it was blatant.
The someone else is injured right now...unless you want tark or brantwaithe to do the delivery.
