And you think our squad can do that ?

Should have made the sarcasm clearer in my post ha.

In short, no, I think it’s a poor squad that Dyche has got the best out of playing a system that suits them. Our strength is in our defence and goal keeper and our physicality so he’s banked on that and it’s seen us over the line comfortably.

People (I include myself in this too) need to be more level-headed with managers. That means cutting them some slack for horrible results and runs of form when it's obvious that the main reasons for them were beyond his control. Equally, we need to swerve all this over-the-top fawning when things are going our way.

He's the definitely the right man for next season, same way he was this year and last. I still get cold sweats imagining where we'd have ended up under Bielsea. Let him have another season of stability, just this time with no point deductions or farcical situations going on over his head. I'd offer him an extension now, then when 2024/25 is over we'll see where were at as a club. Still in fire-fighting mode or ready to really push for something again?

Well done to him, he's done a heck of a lot of good for the club since he came in. Don't have to want to have a pint with him to see that.
No way. Kick them in the goolies

3rd best defence in the league.

Now, imagine if we had some pace/ability in the final third?

We could do with a striker who spins and has pace. Although i do think the(its the 4th btw) defensive record is because of how we often set up. I think that defensive record would drop a bit if we didnt play that way
See chelsea.
But a clever striker with pace would be great.

we did also beat Palace in the cup in the middle of that winless run. I know that seems to have been forgotten…

In the 13 games we played: City twice, Spurs twice, United away, Newcastle away, Wolves away, Fulham away, Brighton away, Bournemouth away, West Ham home, Palace home, Villa home.

Let’s remember we didn’t lose all of them at all either drawing 6 out the 13.

Out of those 13 fixtures it’s an odd quirk that 8 of them are away from home, and out the 5 home ones we had City Spurs Villa in there. We had a few last minute sucker punches v Brighton and West Ham and then the run starts to look worse than it needed to.

on the other hand there’s a run of 7 wins in 9 games before Christmas (with only a last minute deflected Brighton goal not making it 8 in 9) which for a team at the bottom of the league is unheard of, and now a run of 4 wins in 5.

The only stat that really matters is the form over 38 games, the order and selection of fixtures can be too significant when the sample size gets any smaller.
