We can't afford to sack him and to be honest all these calls to sack him are just getting us back to where we were. Dig in. I'd rather have Dyche fighting for us than some new blert who comes in with even less an idea. Let's just ride the wave. Be hippies for once. Wooooohhh...

But get behind Dyche, being against him kills the only hope we've got of staying in this division. It's the board we hate. Get behind Dyche.

Sean, if you’re reading this.. go on, you know you want to…

Godrey is suited to a back 3 with his pace and he’s just all round slightly better than Keane, Geuye will give you the cover because he’s still good at reading the play and intercepting, Branthwaite is naturally left footed, the rest of the lads might actually have some fun, create chances and score - what can go wrong?? 😂

Godfrey!!!!!!!!!
He’s atrocious .
A total liability on the pitch.
Personally hope I never see him in an Everton shirt again,

I do think he should get a chance but if the results and points dont get better you have to ask the question

He's right you know.

No.

Lose at Brentford and then fail to win either of Luton or Bournemouth. Would you change your mind then?

I suppose he needs to be given a shot with a fully fit squad - not that many teams ever have extended periods where they have no injuries - because he's been badly hamstrung by starting the season with no strikers OR wingers, and you're never winning games without them.

Even without that, we SHOULD be sat on 7 points, two freak games where the goalkeepers had their games of the season and we just couldn't put it in despite being far the better side.

So he gets some credit for that, and gets the next four games for me. Takes us up to Liverpool away after the next international break - a two-week period where we could show we've learned lessons from the past and can get somebody in who knows what they are doing.

Three Premier League games and Villa away in the cup by then - it simply has to be 6 points minimum, which obviously will be our two home games as we lose away to Brentford.

If we get 6 points, we'll probably be out of the bottom three simply on account of this being the lowest quality league season in decades.

If he can't turn it around before the international break then he's out of excuses because you simply have to be beating Luton and Bournemouth at home, especially when you're so desperate for the points.

If he does get 6 points+ in these three games, then he's earned until Wolves away on December 30th for me. Two weeks after that game to allow a new manager to take over.

But that would all take forward planning and we all know Everton doesn't do that.

It should go without saying that the club SHOULD already long since have been sounding managers out in case Dyche isn't able to turn it around. Like Brighton did when Potter was poached, we ought to have a first and second choice lined up to take over the day Dyche is ultimately sacked - but again we know Everton would simply find some useless tosser that's already at the club to take over on an interim basis and lose us more games and vital time in staying up.

I will always support the team whatever our position.
But a manager has to earn my support and trust and so far Dyche has failed to convince me to grant him either .

Will that fight be starting any time soon?

Very rarely managers actually have fully fit squads. Their job is to find solutions to deal with that.

Lampard also started last season with no striker and injuries.

Sad to see that standards have dropped even further than last season and we are now accepting of less than a point per game ratio and potentially only having 7 points after 10 games is enough to get him to January.

If this happens, we are down.

Completely agree, Dyche hasn't been given much to work with and needs our support to get through this tricky start to the season. I do believe if we could get a bit of luck, scrape a couple of wins and get some confidence in the team, we could turn a corner.

Yep that's why I specifically highlighted it.

However, I do think it's exceptional circumstances with us, as the drop off in quality from first XI to backup is absolutely immense.

You went from DCL to Maupay, and McNeil to Garner(!) as a winger, Tarkowski to Keane. I shudder to think what happens once Pickford gets injured.

There was no depth whatsoever at the start of the season, we basically had to start with four defensive midfielders and two of them out of position, not a single striker or winger in the squad (I am not counting Maupay as he's not professional standard to me), and two left backs to choose from, neither of whom would probably get in any other squad in the league, never mind start games. Little of this is Dyche's doing, imo. He doesn't want to play Garner on the wing, and I am quite sure he didn't want to be starting with Maupay in a 4-5-1 formation. How can a team score goals with defensive midfielders on the wing, no attacking support from full back and a League Two striker as your only option?

I think Harrison is probably closer to starting than he's letting on, so hopefully we're finally in a position to drop one of the defensive midfielders and play two wingers with him and McNeil. At least there will be some options, even though they still remain few even with a full squad to choose from. One positive from this horrific start is the manager might actually go into games looking to win as opposed to not lose, as draws will not be good enough for us to stay up.

So I would definitely give him these three games, three league games in which to prove you can win your expected home games using a fully fit attacking unit and otherwise 95% fully fit squad. We're not relegated if we lose the next three games in the league, but it will have proven once and for all, that Dyche needs to go and probably the players aren't playing for him.

We need 10-11 victories this season. That's still easily achievable.

I saw recently Garner came out and said that he (Dyche) was strict:
“(Sean) Dyche demands 100% work-rate whether that is in the gym or on the pitch, he doesn’t like anyone taking shortcuts and if you do you will be found out.

He is a very strict manager too, very stern and straight to the point, which is what some players need at times.”
His style of management, going off his results as our manager, is very likely not suited to our squad of players. And if that continues to be the case over the next three games, you either need to replace the players to suit his management, replace the manager, or accept things as they are and watch the club get relegated. Surely the second option of replacing the manager would be the obvious choice.
