2023/24 Sean Dyche

Dyche as he says often has changed the mentality for the better. We have a team that is working for each other very hard and that is enough to get us safe and comfortable. I still carry a few doubts on his tactics and subs. The narrowness of the team worries me so much that when we have competent wingers against us we are vunerable. Deep far post crosses catch us out because everyone has moved centrally. I am starting to think that Dyche is slightly limited tactically therefore refusing to move away from what he is used to.

Hope he proves me wrong if we can get better players in and by no means am I slating him because he is probably the right fit for us in this time of adversity.
Fingers crossed he is not stuck in his ways and looks beyond

Think the mentality shift is becoming clearer. I said at half time this was a performance we've seen a lot in the last couple of years, even at the start of this season: decent performance, chances created but chances wasted. And time after time the last couple of years eventually the opposition have gone down the other end and taken their one chance.

But instead second half we kept at it, kept patient, didn't give away any stupid chances and got the winner we deserved. For me that's a big step forward because all too often we've lost patience or focus in games like that and come away with zero points when it should've been three.

Another big win under pressure. He appears to be a great fit for us because we need someone who doesn't bend under pressure and who actually performs.

In other news, 7 wins in the last 11 matches, with 2 of the 3 losses being Arsenal and Liverpool. If he can pick up one of the next two against Newcastle and Chelsea I think we are looking at a favorable rest of the season. If he can get us out of the bottom in 8 days time everyone will be buzzing.

2pts from safety
6pts from 15th
9pts off 11th

Hes doing well by the numbers. I posted earlier today was crucial we won.

6 league games till january and we need to hit 10pts at least i think.

That would have us on P20 17pts which puts us on the path to safety, gets us up the table and attracts any players to join in Jan.

Good manager just loathe him playing Young all the time
Yeah okay agree abt Young although kept Elanga quiet 2nd half apart from the Pickford save.I think he's done a fantastic job since he has been here he's dealt with a multitude of issues ever since he came here and am fed up of him getting slaughtered in pre match buildup.Today he was without his supposedly 2 best players if he played Patterson and we lost it would be his fault etc etc.He has got a togetherness in this squad however limited that their ability is that is remarkable. Well done Sean.COYBB
