2024/25 Sean Dyche

The Dychettes are cock-a-hoop with a 0-0 draw at home to an injury ravaged Newcastle. Standard. The lowest of standards.
Very few of the match going fans would be considered Dychettes, coming away from the ground today it definitely felt like the general consensus that was it was a point gained rather than two points lost. For an injury ravaged club most of their team walk into our team so I don't think it's a bad thing to be satisfied with a draw today.

The football is so dire, you’d think 20 months into his tenure we’d be progressing..
This is it for me. There’s not even an inkling that the team is coached in a way to score a goal from open play, it’s all percentages and bleep test fitness to keep in a rigid defensive shape without the ball and hope for a set piece or a piece of individual brilliance. It’s horrible to watch, must be just as horrible to play in. So, so lucky to get a point today but that’s what playing the percentages gives you once in a while. For the first time in a long time the playing squad is too good for the manager and he’s showing he has a very low ceiling to his craft.

Why do we keep going on about injury ravaged???

Who did they miss today? Isaak that is all…. Wilson maybe because he always scores against us.

They had their strongest midfield and defence playing.

People should just realise that football maybe isn’t for them.

I was quoting the previous poster who called them an injury ravaged team, probably best you take this conversation up with him and not me.

One saving grace is that he hasn’t tried to get us fannying around at the back passing it around own 6 yard box like Ipswich, Southampton et al.

How any football manager can get paid hundreds of thousands of £ to demand low quality players, real Championship level defenders to pass it out from the back despite repeatedly getting mullered is utter madness.

Dyche can hold his head up that at least he isn’t as philosophically stupid as McKenna 👏🥲

It's all about context though, isn't it? After 3 and a bit years of dreadful football and relegation battles basically any point is cheered but, eventually, we have to have aspirations beyond just surviving. So, at some point, we have to be disappointed with just scraping points against the run of play, particularly in home matches.
The Dychettes are very happy for us to do that, they celebrate our mediocrity. It's depressing.

If it’s millerwindy then yeah I have… apologies
No apology needed, it's just an Internet forum where people should be free to post off the cuff without their words being viewpoint dissected and their posting history being trawled through in the vain hope of finding a tiny inconsistency.

They would celebrate 17th and regression from last season. They are enemies of the football club.
