2024/25 Sean Dyche

Just like this particular sample of 4 games suits you but nobody else was allowed to use a 4 game sample a few weeks ago. Funny isn’t it. Agendas man.

Hence why my post was sarcastic. Yours at the beginning of the season weren’t. You’d have to be a complete balloon to judge a team on 4 games. I’m certainly not about to say that a side that I’ve been saying is 13th best all season will now be pushing Europe because it has good form in the last 5 games. There were however plenty gleefully writing us off after even 1 game. 38 games will show us where we are.

Ever since we added Ndiaye, Tim and Obrien Dyche became the wrong manager. We brought in players that are young and positive and can help us progress as a team, but he doesn't want to take any chances. It sticks out like a sore thumb now more than ever. Its a shame about the extra year, but it would be next to pointless to sack him now unless the perfect guy is available.

I could cry at the thought of these players festering and stagnating in their development under this stegosaurus.

The feller's here to get us > 18th place in the PL at the end if the day.

Fulham have always been a tough nut to crack for us at GP. Last 7 games there we lost 4 and drew 3.

Sometime you get match ups like this.
League games: Played 20, Everton wins 15, draws 2, Fulham wins 3… a “tough nut to crack”. All easily fact-checked before spewing your cocksure drivel. What an absolute monstrosity you are. I sincerely hope you make it from Velcro on your shoes to laces soon, you’ll get there mate.

Fulham won the first league game at Goodison in their entire history on 14th February 2021

It wont be in the premier league. None of the other 19 teams would have him. I mean who wants someone with an ambition of trying to avoid relegation and setting up to get 0 - 0 draws at home to mid table teams. More likely to be the championship.

Someone might desperately gamble on him with 8 games to go to try and survive. That really is what he is, a Fat Sam regen. It’s unfeasible to have him as your manager for any longer than 18 months, it’s pointless.

Will he keep us up again? Very likely. Would we want to go to a new ground with new owners with him? Most of us would be horrified at the thought. I guess we grin and bear it for now.

The history of teams dropping off when they know the manager is leaving at the end of the season isn’t great. And I suspect a good number of of our players don’t much like the Dyche way of playing, so wouldn’t need much of an excuse to sulk and not put in performances.
Get that but think is enough players pickford tark coleman young ect who would get the team to work hard. Just is a risk for me if we change now, unless a terrible return in points. 100% will agree with anyone that if he cant get more out of this team end of the season he shoule be gone

Current Fulham is better than current Everton though.

Dyche has undeniably got this team willing to grind out some ugly points, even when in the bottom 3, getting points deductions, VAR nonsense, ravaged by injuries, best player constantly (and rightly linked with leaving), and supposed super striker misfiring and seemingly on his way. We’ve had years of squads that would have curled up and cried over the pressures of the last 2 seasons. I think that’s all he was told to do for 3 years, and in that sense he sees it as succeeding.

What he is also doing is playing the worst football of any team in the PL bar none, and the worst sin, playing the final games against each team at Goodison like they are away matches. He will see us to BMD, take a big bonus and walk away. He will have done what was asked of him, and leave with no love, a modicum of respect, and will be forgotten about a month into next season.

I didn't, you asked the question, the poster who said "100%" was the one satisfied with a point. Without your question also quoted their answer would've had no context.
Got ya. I think you're correct with your earlier summation, hence why I would probably settle for a point before kick off, we're just in a bad place from top to bottom, and Dyche loves that narrative to paper over his failings.

Just have to look at the Newcastle match thread for plenty of "we should be beating them" shouts.

So far at home..
Brighton ended up a mess after starting on top.
Bournemouth was a collapse after being dominant.
Beat Palace
Drew with Newcastle and Fulham.

So bar the first 2 home games...it's been alright.
So we’ve got one win against 4 teams at home who finished no higher than 10th last year. Woop-de-doo. Without the points deduction we actually finished above 2 of them last year, level with another and a point behind the other.

Can someone explain to me why Dyche would sub off DCL (who admittedly wasnt good, even though he was alone and being provided with nothing) for Beto and then move Keane up top with Beto? Why not leave DCL up there and play both strikers? Or someone with place to run off the headers Beto wins?
