2024/25 Sean Dyche

Consistent you say. *Cough*

You set your target and he failed and we drew against 10 men and unsurprisingly to most people here you reneged and have been mounting a serious defence for him ever since.

Nope

We've been here before. He's still clinging on in case you hadn't noticed.

Reneged on what? "Reneged" Dear lord.

My stance changed after the draw, but I've told you that before. I said he'd have to win one of the next two. That's not a "serious defence" that's saying only a win will stop me saying "sack."

Guess what, he won one of them and to quote the post you think is some sort of smoking gun, he's still clinging on whether that's by the "skin of his teeth" or not.

Mate can I ask, why does your opinion on whether he’s suited to be our manager seem to be subject to change on a game by game basis?

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum and all that right?

Expectations truly on the floor.

Enough points to finish 12th last season but now happy to just finish 17th.
Our motto hasnt had meaning for 40 years mate, not a good drum to bang that one. Survival has always been the key whilst the parasite Moshiri is here, you can pretend it's not and pretend we should be better but 12 or 17th makes no difference, we need to survive.

The aim this season, as it was last season, is just stay up.
Just as if. The aim at the start of this season or any season is to equal or better the previous season i.e 48 points (12th while in a mess). The aim has since became to stay up because the manager has done a really terrible job and only won 3 games out of 14 with the 3 of the top 4 teams about to be played on the bounce.

The lengths some people go to defend one of the worst managers in our history honestly never ceases to amaze me. He is doing an appalling job and the risk of relegation increases by keeping him here.

If we look like we are going down then we make the change. It we are hovering a good few points above the relegation zone we bide our time we wait til we are safe and then make a change. No point in rocking a boat.
If we go on an amazing run and finish in europe… well Obviously give Dyche a 10 year contract.

Because that's the position he put himself in with the poor start to the season. I've said all along that he will keep us clear of danger, but we were fast approaching a point where the points per game wasn't good enough. It still isn't good enough, but as I've said numerous times, I believe he bought himself some time after the bad start. We're something like 10th on form for the last 10 games.

It's entirely possible to back a manager up to a certain point before results dictate that they can't be supported anymore. I'm sure there's loads of people on here that have turned on managers, what's the difference? They supported them, then they never.

I'd rather we didn't leave our own half tbh :hayee: but that's not how we've approached many games lately.

Seriously though, no problem getting 10 behind the ball at their place, I think it's our best chance of a result. It's not a tactic we've seen much of though. I expected it at Old Trafford tbh.

I'm not here to advertise for the bookies mate, I'm just saying if anybody is absolutely convinced we get nothing then close to doubling your money on 2 supposed certs is not that terrible. I mean, let's be honest, given our record at Arsenal over the years, it's nearly as good as 0.96/1 for Chelsea to win, which you certainly won't get anywhere.
If we do they'll pick us apart without any chance of us nicking a goal

Can you not see from watching us play football that we are actually getting worse under this manager? It’s December, we haven’t improved at all from the start of the season, despite stumbling to a handful of results.

Such strange flexing for a guy who has already been relegated, was sacked by Burnley leaving them with a pitiful 4 wins from 30 league games and has actually managed more games than his teams have scored goals. A man who broke a near 150 year club record for the longest winless streak in its entire history, just think of the absolutely shocking squads we’ve had in the last 30 years alone and they didn’t even manage 13 games without a win ffs. A man who wants his team to NOT have the ball in home games. None of the above was his fault though…

But yeah, apparently the chances of relegation INCREASE if he’s fired into the sun. Laughable logic.

We've been about what I expect from us; goal shy and lacking cutting edge and pace but a team that is more often than not difficult to beat. Even with the horror show at united, we've conceded only 6 goals in our last 8 games.
