2024/25 Sean Dyche

Thank you gaffer. Real evertonians will understand the job you've done in keeping us afloat during a time of turmoil. Ignore the kopite naysayers who enjoy when Everton lose as it gets them likes on the internet.

#ThankYouGaffer
Ugh, "real Evertonians". Why is it that no matter what disagreement there is on here this type of nonsense breaks out? I disagree with you, @Saint Domingo , @Neiler and the boss @GrandOldTeam , etc... but our disagreements are just based on opinions. The fact that you disagree with me doesn't make you less of an Evertonian than anybody else and neither does someone disagreeing with you on Dyche. Nobody would look at the last 30 years of this clubs history and decide to become a plastic Evertonian, good God I wish I wasn't an Everton supporter half the time, I'd have more fun on the weekends. Everybody on here, barring a few "hilarious" kopites who periodically troll the place, are Evertonians and want what is best for the club, it's just that we disagree on what is best. This Trumpian nonsense benefits nobody and makes you look a bit of a div, Stevie.

I was only copying @nsno-chris comment as a bit on banta mate. I agree with you 👍

He was replying tongue in cheek to someone who made that dig first mate...

You’ve just made this up, it’s not even true

He started 23 PL games of the 31 he was fit to play.

To be fair, that was the narrative towards the end of last season right before he was brought back into the side.

You are telling me I’m stretching it when you then mention Gomes 😂 Dele left as well while we are at it. Go in any Godfrey thread over past few years and it’s full of people wanting him gone and saying he was a waste of money.

Tim looked decent early on until Dyche randomly dropped him. Mangala looked decent as well until Dyche randomly dropped him until he came back in vs wolves and looked good.

What would I do now? Well I wouldn’t have gone into the easiest opening run of games just trying not to lose. I’d have actually gone in to try and win them. (And he does try to just not lose as all his rhetoric is about not losing).

At this very point, I’d be getting rid of him (I’d have got rid of him after his first 6 months personally and said so at the time). For who? I’d argue many managers could do better, but based off my limited knowledge (as I’m not thelwell who works in football and has to know about all the managers) I’d maybe go Carsley on a short term. But any suggestion that there’s no one else out there in world football and no other managers could do more is incredibly disingenuous.

That midfield is beginning to look interesting with Iroegnunam, Garner and perhaps Armstrong in the mix. Three young English players with something to prove.

He has run his race with this team.

The next 3 games are just painful and I fear huge defeats will chance the arm of The Friedkin Group.

January coming up and we are going to be in the bottom 3 or nearby, will they pull the trigger and stamp their authority on the club early on.

Bringing my eldest to the Chelsea game and praying what’s probably their last game at Goodison will be a positive one, with Dyche, Woany and Stoney nowhere to be seen! 🤞
The further away from Goodison that lot are the better.

Im only home for this game and i really want to go but i wont be if they are still here.

Bang on, I think there's been a lot of complacency about this both within the club and also with the Friedkin group. I fail to see why they couldn't have reached some agreement to boot Dyche months ago and put someone competent in charge. If they had we'd be no where near the bottom 3 in my opinion. Instead Dyche has just been allowed to drift along, clearly not arsed and aiming to simply draw games.
