2024/25 Sean Dyche

Once. As favourites after he tookover from Howe and got them promoted from about 11th.

And if we spend as Burnley did - inevitably after 6 or 7 seasons we'd definitely go down too.
His results so far this season are remarkably similar to his last at Burnley so whether he was there for the last game of the season or not he put them in the mess they couldn’t get out of. He’s far more culpable for that relegation than the interim manager who outperformed him easily in the last 8 games of that season.

Yeah, it’s dead weird to try and take a relegation away from his CV because he was performing so badly that they sacked him in a last ditch attempt to save themselves.

We had an opportunity with Beto and that was about it.

But they were intent on sitting back and we had no key to the door.

That's the explanation.

We can all either accept it happened and hope we get McNeil and Garner back quickly or just blame each other all day on these forums.

We're not a good team but we can be good in some parts of games and get a draw or win every so often.

Thats better than being a shambles like S'ton, Ipswich and Leicester.

We'll finish 5th or 6th from bottom.

🤷‍♂️
Now listen here marmite bollox........ even you know you are talking JISM without a managerial change. xx

Who ever would have thought that The Friedkins would be absent owners and leave this cretin of a manager to burn it all to the ground???

Apart from me of course :D

Still here, still damaging the club, TFG will not remove him. They couldn`t care less about us, if truth be known it was a good price including the stadium and an opportunity to make a quick buck, all the while they can focus on Roma....

The statements they put out are all BS... where are they? When will they act? They`re not so don`t hold your breath.
Hello comrade, that's a very strange take.

Moot point firing the guy if we can’t strengthen in January, the squads pathetic.

He’s a crap manager, how anyone is surprised I don’t know. He’s showed though some knack for keeping crap teams in this league (even us, twice) so unless we can absolutely back the new guy then what’s the point?

Nobody else comes in with this set of players and drastically changes anything.

Comfortably my least favourite group of players, barely one discernible ‘quality’ between any of them. Led by a manager who hasn’t got a clue how to coach in the modern game.

Just a shambles, but entirely indicative of how badly ran we’ve been for YEARS - anyone blaming Dyche for all of this is off their head.

80 minutes for the first shot on target at home. That in itself shows why this balloon simply has to go. The whole set up is to try and nick a 0 - 0 draw and when we go behind there is no plan whatsoever. Just lob a few like for likes on, scratch your nose a bit more and hope for the best. What a way to end the year and what a way to celebrate the last ever season at Goodison. Embarrassing to be an Everton fan.

The reality is he was relegated twice even if the stats don’t tell that story - his replacement made a massive difference to their PPG and nearly saved them

Virtually every word spot on, I'd just add that new manager bounce is an actual thing though and even if we brought in somebody that's only able to drag the same (point a game) out of these awful players, if the new bloke can spawn a few early wins it would easily see us safe. That alone would make up for the rest of Dyche and his useless backroom teams' contracts being paid out.
