2024/25 Sean Dyche

The points deduction was a godsend for somebody like Dyche, especially coming off a relegation escape that went even closer to the wire than the Benitez-Lampard season.

The less pressure and expectation, the better.

Nailed it.
And tbh i didnt mind that or him last season. The whole points deduction. Rchard masters thing. It was perfect for him to thrive on.
The difference this season he's expected to get some more results. The pool of relegation was bigger last season. We did the double over Forest. They've kicked on. We need to find those 6 points elsewhere. We never really had anyone breathing down our neck last season beneath us. We cant really rely on 3 teams being worse and having that pressure taken off.
He needs to find wins and goals in his set up and tactics now rather than others not being good enough.
Thats why i think we're in a bit of trouble.
I hope im spectacularly wrong.

would've been lucky to score 1 i thought, Beto header was our best chance

We looked much better back then, which is why I backed Dyche and was honestly somewhat optimistic. But we’ve gone backwards—the underlying stats weren’t nearly as bad as they are now.

Jep, their keeper could have had a tea time meeting, he was basically idle. The stats this year are accurate to what we show on the pitch, in terms of goals conceded, goals scored and points won.

Big regress as it was mentioned.

The team progressed under Dyche between February and December 23, but now is about again at the state of when he took over.

Nar, Dyche has no supporters left.

The only people still defending him at this point just really enjoy arguing on the Internet.

There is nothing to defend at this point.
Except pride. Some people really, really hate being wrong - and won't even admit it to themselves.

They'd rather keep digging until he's gone, and then they can tell everyone that he was never given a fair chance for the rest of the decade.
