2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

For those who missed the pressy…‘We’re gonna play for a draw and if that doesnt work get Beto on…’

Repeat ad infinitum….
Bit feisty again today. He’s desperate to mention some of the behind the scenes chaos he’s dealt with.

Couple of separate questions pretty directly asking if he thinks he’s doing a good job, or needs to change tac, or why it’s not getting better. Clearly wrinkled when, after talking about constantly working to find ways to score, Guilia pretty much said “you have been here 2 years.”

Tbf, I prefer seeing him getting semi-animated and defending himself, and on a couple occasions today the players (Dom, Myko). Rather that than the overused and cliches.

After 18 games last season we had:
scored 8 more
conceded 2 less
won 5 more
1 point more including 8points deduction
Relegation teams doing better this year too
Not good enough, he's gotta go
The points deduction was a godsend for somebody like Dyche, especially coming off a relegation escape that went even closer to the wire than the Benitez-Lampard season.

The less pressure and expectation, the better.

They were closer to the 3:0 than us to the 2:1 I think.

We looked like Brighton in Goodison last season, 75% possession or like that, but clueless with the ball.
would've been lucky to score 1 i thought, Beto header was our best chance

We looked much better back then, which is why I backed Dyche and was honestly somewhat optimistic. But we’ve gone backwards—the underlying stats weren’t nearly as bad as they are now.

Yes, they were punished for two mistakes by who are becoming the usual suspects.

The game was over after the first goal, Forest were perfectly happy for us to have the ball as much as we wanted.
Any manager who knows what their doing is perfectly happy to allow us to have the ball, that's the easiest way to win at GP.
