2024/25 Sean Dyche

Nah you seem to have a lot more insight into a Championship manager and why he would reject the longest serving top flight club of all time, I think I might just wait for your opinion instead

I don’t have any insight 😂 it’s just my opinion that a manager like Corberan wouldn’t be interested in us right now, but would be once the off the pitch stuff looks more secure.

The fact we’re the longest serving top flight club of all time wouldn’t even cross his mind as it doesn’t contribute in any way to his ambition to move up the table in the here and now. No money and an owner that has been desperate to sell for 2 years isn’t likely to attract any top coach no matter how you dress it up.

This is the pragmatic truth.
At the minute I fully believe Dyche will keep us up. Once we are secure in the prem and with a new owner we can look again

FTFY

So you’re basically just going to keep saying “what if he doesn’t fancy it” every time I name a potential Dyche replacement, so therefore we’re gonna go on forever aren’t we. Pointless discussion.

Why would you mock the idea of Moyes when you’re actually advocating keeping Sean Dyche? Are you honestly for real? In what universe are they even comparable in terms of stature in the game? It’s laughable, they’re not even close in terms of ability.
Here's a question, what if dyche doesn't fancy it at the end of the season?

He’ll be given the next 3 (Leicester, Palace and Newcastle) then a decision will be made before international break I suspect.

We held onto Lampard for about 2 months too long, let’s hope we don’t make the same mistake here.
That's what I think too. Realistically I think if he gets 3 or 4 points in those 3 games he stays.

I dont believe he is imminently in danger of losing his job, although I do believe another defeat makes his position completely untenable.

But if he was safe for the longer term, he would have been offered a contract extension.

Notwithstanding the valid reasoning for not being able to sack/replace him right now ... we probably already have.

its either Championship job or doing the 'come in to a club' around February/March time and try and keep them up, like Allardyce did (pretty well) for 4/5 years.
The likes of Palace, Forest etc would have a look at him if they feel they are desperate enough

The thing is, for all the criticism of Dyche, he has done exactly the job he was hired to do: keep us up.

Most of the ire now seems to focus on his inability to take the team forward and, while that may be fair and true, you’d be hard pushed to argue Dyche hasn’t exactly been supported in that effort.

He’s had to sell. The players he’s wanted, evidently, we haven’t been able to get. He’s having to make do, while delivering against expectations to move the team up the league (expectations which I would argue aren’t reasonable).

The team is what it is. It’s a poor squad that has been fighting down the bottom under several managers and, without £££, will continue to do so. Dyche needs to do better, much better. But the likelihood is we’d still be circling the drain with anyone else (at least, any manager we’d be able to attract in these circumstances).

No, for me the ire is he isn't looking like keeping us up. I'm not saying sack cos it's been 4 games in the league, but it ain't great.

The problem is having the mentality of 17th place!

He hasn’t progressed at all we was in a relegation battle when he came
We was in a relegation battle last season
We are in a relegation battle now

The only time Dyche should of been here is his first season and he should of been punted after the Bournemouth game on the last day.

Him and his coaches are kin awful

We used to say it’s the hope that kills you, well this fella has even removed the hope now, I hope we get snotted by Leicester if it means putting the final nail in his coffin.

We will be better in the long run as soon as he’s gone from this club.
