2024/25 Sean Dyche

Dyche will keep his job barring another three or four successive defeats in the next five matches. It's only when whatever remains of the hierarchy determines he is unlikely to get us to 17th that he will be strung out.

I expected him to get us to about 15th this season before we kicked a ball. Now, I suspect it'll be a close-run thing to survive. I have lost a lot of confidence in him from what we've see in these first five games. I think it's touch and go now but would still tend towards thinking he will keep us up. But any idea I had that he might be able to grow into the job and contend for a chance to work with a better-run club hierarchy and a better quality player has gone up in smoke.

He'll do very well indeed to walk away from us without taking us down.

I've been encouraged by the way we've played (in general) over the last few games and feel if Sean Dyche can get our defence to do the basics right we will be giving ourselves a fighting chance. To be honest though, I would like to see Roman Dixon getting a start against Palace since that is his natural position.
Dixon - Tarkowski - Branthwaite - Mykolenko is the way to go.

Yes I did. And we are. But the last 3 games hand me a lot of hope we'll avoid the drop.

My target is 38 points and 17th. That can be surpassed if we tighten up at the back.
So let’s get this right:

You’re not being negative by thinking we’re in a relegation battle

But those of who think they players are better than what’s being offered by the manager, and believe we could win far more with better tactics, are being negative

How does that work???

Why are people desperate to get the manager sacked?

I dont get it.

We're a poor football organisation with a confirmed bottom half squad.

We're 5 games in and we all know by now the team could be on a lot more points given the positions we've got in games. We also know the defence is stricken with injury.

Baffling that some see a man who's saved us for the last two seasons as the problem...yes, in-game decision making is poor, but overall he's the only manager I'd have managing us right now.

I *promise* you things will look an awful lot different for us by the end of the 1st Saturday of November.

No, I'm being realistic. But equally realism dictates that we should - given the evidence of the last two seasons - expect to get out of this.

That’s no realistic though, it’s an opinion. Your opinion is based off Dyche playing the same team, with the same tactics week in week out. The same tactics that he’s used for 12 years

Hence why the majority of us believe that fresh ideas will get more out of this team.

Like not playing 9 behind the ball against a second string Southampton team in the cup

Are you a majority?

Ok, a new manager might do better. But they might do worse over 33 games than Dyche will...and that will get us relegated.

Be careful what you wish for.

Might be the 5 games won in 26 efforts. He cannot get the team to be consistent. He is a spurt of a few wins then reverts to type. History will tell you that.

5 wins since November, 1 point from 5 games, out of the League Cup before 14 clubs have even played their ties, lost a lead in 4 straight games, makes wrong or baffling substitutions that kill any momentum we build, stuck with an utter coward of a defender when there’s a £20m CB chomping at the bit for a game, would rather play players out of position than give a kid a run whose a natural full back

Need I go on?

Bottom half can be 11th and 20th, he’s not getting v the best out of the squad have been in a horrendous run. What’s it now 5 wins in 27? Add in the style his poor in game management, bizarre comments in press conferences. He won’t last the season
