2024/25 Sean Dyche

Can’t believe my eyes on here.
Surely even the biggest critics of Dyche can see the best situation for all Everton fans is that we get as many points on the board, get the take over done and appoint a new manager that have the ability to pick up a side in safe position and capable moving forward.
That is an attractive proposition for an ambitious manager.
The alternative seem to be wanted by some fans… lose as many games as possible so Dyche is sacked and we are in crisis, with relegation a possoibilty, the owners having second thoughts and having to appoint another crisis manager to keep us up
All it does is thow more fuel on the fire for the Dyche Five. There's no sane Evertonian who wants Everton to lose a football match. The only time I could understand the sentiment would be if it stopped Liverpool winning the league but it would have to be at no detriment to our final placing.

Agenda? I want Everton winning. If they're still not winning after today I want Dyche gone. The Leicester game wasn't a corner turned and a draw today wouldn't be a corner turned. As I mentioned, if it would guarantee his removal I'd take that IF we can't win. Given he won't be sacked either way, it's all just hypothetical and not really worth discussing tbh.

Yes, the most apparent agenda ever. You want Dyche sacked, that's fair enough, but it becomes an agenda the second you say you would rather lose than draw. Not even up for debate.

It's quite staggering really, considering we're 2 points off climbing out the drop zone, but hey, don't let me tell you what to think, carry on being an absolute weirdo if you want.

If he starts getting the points now then for me fair play to him. I don't think id be too motivated to do my job if constantly criticised, on a contract due to end in a few months and with a strong possibility new ownership are going to want changes even before that.

I've constantly said I trust him to do his average best over a season and keep us up, and that's all I care about. And that would mean I'd expect he gets the first 3 points today. However given
the situation he is in above, I've started to wonder if this might now be a factor in him sinking below his already bang average standards. Could be dangerous having this wait for a takeover right through our first decent run of fixtures with a manager who is starting to check out already....

I don't trust those at the club to make a good decision on a new manager, but I wonder if with TFG coming in they could already lean on other influences and actually move quickly to make a good appointment for once. They'd be starting off their time as owners with a lot of good will in the bank.

(So, not quite my first dyche out moment, but got me thinking for sure)

If we dont get 3 pts today surely hes gone? What other Premier league team would accept such mind numbing stupidity?
I think it really is getting to the stage where today is a must win game for Dyche.

I guess it depends how long it will take for TFG to be ratified.

He has to get points on the board before they take control.

With his future on the line, it may go the other way though, as he might actually set the team up to try and play football, to prove that he`s not completely one dimensional.

I know it`s a long shot, but his team selection and formation today, will tell us a lot about whether he actually wants to keep his job, like he says he does ( imo )
