2024/25 Sean Dyche

People blamed dyche for the fact we threw away a second 2-0 lead in 2 games, or blamed him for the worldy goal? Which is it? Two different things mate. Having a mare here

People blamed him for both. He’s the manager so when it goes wrong on the pitch he lives with the result.

When one of his players scores from distance to win a game he lives with that result too.

You can’t invalidate one of them though because it suits your agenda.

We’ve been having the conversation about recovering the club’s position now for probably what, three to four years and probably at various intervals before hand? In addition the the 30 legacy years of having a trophy drought, just weighs people down and I think that’s where the impatience comes from. BTW, I agree that it’s still going to take time and stability is still the order of the day as long as it’s justifiable due to us not being at risk of relegation.

In all honesty mate, i know the point you are making, what's gone before isn't important, the only thing you can influence is what comes next.

I disagree myself, we may have been having conversations but we haven't been recovering anything. From a footballing perspective, we've been selling our best players and diluting quality to a tipping point of relegation. Sad but true. The club in a business sense is a basket case. The clubs has been in a death spiral the last three years.

If people are tired, that's understandable, but ultimately that's irrelevant, to what happens next, we need to stay on it and push for more and better, suck it up and be resilient - realistically. My point being is assimilating and learning from the mistakes of the past that too much change to fast holistically, can be as damaging without the proper structures as no change at all. If TFG are clever there will be a measure of continuity and moderate change in their first 12 months here and then incrementality change things.

You can blame the manager for the team sitting back and inviting pressure after taking s lead and throwing a second game in a row.

Why are you even arguing against facts? Do you really rate dyche this much?

I’m not sure at this point you can even read. Put aside your absolute rage at Everton winning and just read what I’m saying.

Dyche was blamed for us losing to Villa, regardless of any in game circumstances, as he should be as he’s the manager of the club.

That means when we win v Palace Dyche is credited for winning regardless of the in game circumstances.

You can’t say one is his fault when we concede from 30 yards and then say he’s been bailed out and got lucky when we score from 30 yards.

Nsno presented with stats: fake news, fingers in ears
Sean Dyche spent the majority of his career playing the lower leagues of English football when it was a small step up from semi professional football

Yet GrandOldSte is trying to convince the everyone that he played football at a high level

Keep going mate, this is fun. Post more articles

So he was blamed for the villa defeat in general and NOT the worldy goal specifically like you originally said?

How many things can you possibly make up in a 10 minute time frame my mate

The level he played at is irrelevant. Plenty of good managers didn't play at a high level, and plenty of great players have been rotten managers. Dyche is very limited as a manager, which he has proved over a long period of time.

From yesterdays guardian, musing over dyches media prospects after the Everton job:
The Dyche brand is strong. He could, if he chooses, pivot into a media career very easily. I would definitely listen to a tough love Sean Dyche podcast on male wellbeing. The Dyche-vehicle TV pitch meetings write themselves. Dyche on a Bike: Sean Dyche tours the UK’s coastal paths on a bicycle. Van Dyche: Sean Dyche drives around in a van. Dyche’s Reich: Sean Dyche takes a deep dive into the enduring lessons of Nazi Germany. Live and Let Dyche: thriller in which an undercover Sean Dyche foils a Caribbean drug cartel and also debunks the tarot card industry.

Play Your Cards Dyche - A TV game show where people guess whether the value of a playing card in a sequence is higher or lower than the preceding card.

Dyche Vader - A Disney+ show featuring the villainous leader of the Empire, Dyche Vader, as he prepares to face off against his heroic nemesis….Nathan Patterson.

Even if we was going down under Lampard which we will never know. He hardly worked miracles. Left it down to the last game. A better manager turns that around much quicker.

I’m tired of the narrative that Dyche kept us up. He really didnt, he added nothing to our performances, if anything he made hard work of it.

Yesterday was his first victory from being behind in a game, that’s a shocking stat. Also 6th win in 25+ plus games? Another shocking stat.

Dyche offers nothing, he doesn’t coach, he has no tactics, poor player selection and not proactive during games. Just the usual tripe about basics and being fit etc.

These players aren’t that bad we have a decent first 15. A better manager gets more. We should be sat on at least 7 points now and still ok the cup.

He certainly has a better team than Benitez and Lampard had.

I really don’t understand how this idiot gets defended still.
How exactly ? Gordon sold DLC injured and Maupay as a lone striker. Sorry mate . Worked an absolute miracle. Everyone thought we were down

Dyche surprised me yesterday. He actually made a sub at half time because he could see his selected side were getting murdered. The penny also seemed to have dropped that you don't take you best outlet off and bring on a plodder, his subs were much better yesterday, Gana and Garner on to sure up midfield but Ndiaye left on because he just gets the team up the field and keeps possession of the football so well.

I still think Dyche is a very limited manager and provided we had somebody lined up to come in, I would like to see him gone. You can't really criticize him too much for his game management yesterday. It's just a shame it took him so long to see what everybody else could see for the 5 previous games.
