Season Ticket Card 23/24

They gave us a little badge last season that was the same as well.

Think they are trying to introduce it slowly.

Its all about streamlining in this modern world, you will know better than most.

What is?

The clubs redesigned the badge to include the word Everton within the core, for brand recognition which I agreed with. Now, wherever the club badge is in the world, there's no mistaking it's Everton.

The last couple of years, it seems odd to me to use the minimalistic tower, they even used it on a kit.

I find it strange and at odds with why they updated the badge - use the club badge, because... why not?

Crap example, but I live the other side of the country now and that car sticker won't mean anything to anyone here.

I thought the reasoning behind the fat badge we got that time mentioned something about needing to streamline and make the badge simpler.

Goodison Park officials requested a new crest amid concern that the previous badge was "frequently misrepresented, has become increasingly difficult to reproduce in the digital age and often suffers from having key elements removed such as those 'outside of the shield' – namely Everton, 1878 and Nil Satis Nisi Optimum.

"It has also proved complex to replicate accurately on a number of retail ranges and other materials, resulting in a myriad of different colours and designs."

Everton deny allegations that the "modern, cleaner and dynamic design" was influenced by pressure from broadcasters but admits its commercial partners, Kitbag and Nike, were consulted.

It was to put the word Everton within the core;

It's why the 3 options after that all had it too;

Maybe im just bad minded, suppose there doesnt always have to be a reason for things.

Well, the quote you give, said exactly what I said?

^ They wanted Everton within the badge.

Clubs now want their name within the crest. It was listed as the motivation to redesign and it was on all 4 badge options.

Think back the last 10-20 years, all the clubs have done it. Man City;

Chelsea, Arsenal etc all spring to mind. Leeds tried it too.

Clubs tend to want the name of the club within their badge and it makes sense IMO
