I was offered a ST but didn’t take up the offer, I’m 500-1000 on the new list, not sure how that works?

Thought I read someone say on here, you can't now get a membership if you've a ST, is that true? I mean, I know whats the point eh, but let's say someone decides next season they no longer want or can justify a ST, have they then missed a year's worth of membership and gone down the waiting list...or does having a ST qualify a years membership too?

They are basically making people pay a yearly fee to keep their position on the waiting list, but someone can still jump ahead of you if they join the waiting list years after you but have been a member longer. I think that’s wrong, once you are in a waiting list your position should only be able to get better, not worse.

I’ve moved up ~2000 from the last time the bandings were published.

1001-1500 now (3000-3500 previously). 6 years and 3 months on the list and counting.

Same as you mate, joined may 2019. Just been told I’m 1001-1500

I got to 4501-5000 in July last year with 3 years memberships, and went back up to 5001-5500 for which I took a screenshot, but checked today but I’m at 6501-7000. They’ll be getting a call tomorrow…

Eh? How exactly would you get jumped over by someone who has been on the list for years longer than you have?

I’m fine with membership being an element that gets taken into consideration, but the fact it’s to the exclusion of all else (which it wasn’t when the waiting list started) is ridiculous. People joining the waiting list in 2023 or 2024 and jumping ahead of people who’ve been on it since 2018 or 2019 because they paid an extra £30 once over the preceding 8 years is just daft.

Surely a sensible system would be something like going on a score of years membership multiplied by years on the list?

Or by actually taking into account how many games you go to. In theory people who have a membership since 2020 and don’t go to any games have jumped ahead of me who goes to 10 games on average and joined 2019
