10% increase, the first in 5 years isn’t horrendous really is it?

Ideally they actually push their commercial side in better places, but as fans can we really be fuming at paying (Lower Gwladys for me) £28.09 for a game of football, in the biggest league?

I don't think we can complain about this to be honest. The increase for my ST works out at about £3 per game, but it still works out I'll paying £28 a game in an area where a standard one-off match ticket costs £42 possibly even more next season.

If you're an adult it's £500-£600 to watch Everton.
If you're a young adult, it's £410 to watch Everton.

I think it's great value per match (especially the kids/junior prices), provided you can afford that amount to buy a season ticket.

"I'm alright Jack" - I've got a season ticket and had one for a while...

But if you can't afford a season ticket and want to go the odd game, it's not ideal. I mean - Everton have told the fans that unless they have a season ticket, they need to buy a membership to even have a sniff at buying any tickets.

We apparently have 12 to 15k waiting list for a season ticket. The club will probably sell season tickets to 40k then leave the rest for general sale. As much as I love the new stadium. That’s why I wish we went for a 60k stadium. We sell out Goodison with all its behind a post seats as well as no success on the pitch. We have amazing fans any bit of success on the pitch we would easy fill 60k every game.
I didn’t realise the waiting list had grown that much. Looks like a lot of people will be left disappointed again

The fact that there are 32,000 season ticket holders is a disgrace.

I can’t disagree with you, I really can’t.

If you’re an international blue, or one who can’t access Goodison every week how are you meant to go? Get lucky on the resale app?

I know, there are fans who’ll argue that they can and they don’t care, but I’d be not having any news fans until it goes back to 30,000, cause it’s just insane.

It was small time to go 52,009 and everyone knows it.

It’ll be great, but your post sums it up perfectly.

Mate we had 37k at Brentford the other day and that was a Saturday 3pm kickoff. If we had a 60k capacity that would be 23k empty seats and would look extremely small time.

We wouldn't sell out 60k seats consistently, absolutely no chance. More empty seats = less atmosphere. 52k seats requires an additional 12k+ fans every week which i'd imagine is more than accommodating. Not sure I believe 12-15k on ST waiting lists.

As for ST increase, it was a matter of time really. They've been froze for a while now and it's still much cheaper than many other PL clubs. I'd imagine this is a bit of a precursor for BMD. Spurs rose theirs massively when they went to the new stadium and would be surprised if we didn't follow suit.

We sold out at Brentford. Not the fans fault we couldn’t buy anymore seats.

Also if the 12 to 15k waiting list is true that bring us to around 45k season tickets. Also if we have any success on the pitch. Plus fans wanting to go to a new stadium. I think we could sell 60k.

£55 for ~39,000 fans, so around £2m in extra income.
Maybe stop buying duds and stop paying players who do nothing would better cover this.
Even he who should be not named could pay this delta for doing nothing for 6 months.
Worst financial situation for the low income families following Covid and furlough, and now put the prices up.
Should change tag name to the ‘middle class peoples club’

I go to 2 or 3 games a year on average so not a ST holder. But I've never had any issue at all getting tickets. You just have to buy early and take what's available.

We would have sold far more that day if available. The only reason there were empty seats was because Brentford took the full allocation and lots went unsold. The few extra tickets from their allocation that could be sold went inside about 2 mins

That was because the tickets were sold from the middle to the end and the didn't sell all the bottom tier or the top tier the top tier in the normal away end was Everton but the lower normal away end was practically empty. Big cock up with which seats were sold first. There were queues round to block for the extra tickets they sent back

How are you views? Genuinely curious, cause I wouldn’t know

Cause just feels a bit of a dump on those who can’t commit every week.

I’m a season ticket holder, so it doesn’t affect me, but surely there can’t be many seats together or not obstructed?

It’s a business if they didn’t raise prices then I would be asking questions. Not only have else held prices for years but energy prices are going up not to mention the players wages. But the wages don’t really make any difference, season tickets will sell out even if they put the price up by over 10%. Why wouldn’t they raise prices? It isn’t a charity ffs
