How are you views? Genuinely curious, cause I wouldn’t know

Cause just feels a bit of a dump on those who can’t commit every week.

I’m a season ticket holder, so it doesn’t affect me, but surely there can’t be many seats together or not obstructed?

Doesn't really bother me to be honest. I pretty much always have an obstructed view but never had that bad a view. Worst ones I've had were at the back of the lower Gwladys but I usually go to the top balcony when I can because you are obstructed the least up there because you are further away. There usually isn't a whole lot of choice but I just take what is available and it's never been that bad.

I usually go with my brother and we've always got 2 together ok. I've never went to a derby but I think it's the one game it would be a struggle. I actually got 2 together that weren't restricted views for the Newcastle game through the resale, so would be grateful if they could try and reschedule that some time soon. It's only been about 7 weeks!

We apparently have 12 to 15k waiting list for a season ticket. The club will probably sell season tickets to 40k then leave the rest for general sale. As much as I love the new stadium. That’s why I wish we went for a 60k stadium. We sell out Goodison with all its behind a post seats as well as no success on the pitch. We have amazing fans any bit of success on the pitch we would easy fill 60k every game.

The waiting list doesn’t mean much really, as there’s no financial condition to join it.

I highly doubt we’d fill 60k every game. If you look back to 2013-14 when we were doing well compared to now we even had a few games at 3pm on a Saturday that didn’t sell out. Fulham at 3pm on Saturday was only 33,800.

The club have issued press releases over the years saying 9 in every 10 seats in the stadium are sold out before a season starts. I assume that headline must include hospitality.

Some think it's great.

I think it's a shame.

For access to tickets, and for atmosphere.

We have more season ticket holders - (Edit: I think 3/4k if a quick Google is correct) - than the likes of Liverpool.
Never really going to get the right balance will be people from both who complain. Do wonder how many st for bmd we will have

Pretty much everything in the world has gone up in price, the club will have to increase in the order to sustain also. Not ideal for some at the moment, but I guess you can't please everybody, they wouldn't have done it if they didn't have to.

either i am very lucky or there is some dodgy numbers going about

so i bought a season ticket about 4 years ago now and before that I was one of those forever Evertonian members where you get special privileges and discounts etc. I think you paid like £10.00 or £15.00 a year but i think it did also give you a some kind of priority in relation to season tickets when they become available.

I didn't have this membership for very long maybe a year or two and then i randomly got a call from the box office one day saying they had a few season tickets available and wanted to know if i would be interested.

Now i may have been lucky because i only wanted a single season ticket and maybe other people have to wait longer if they are a family and want to sit with each other but the experience didn't feel like there was a 10,000 or 15,000 waiting list. Even if there was such a waiting list, there would still surely be a huge demand for single season tickets.

like i say, i either got lucky or this waiting list thing is over exaggerated

you hear about how some liverpool fans have been on the waiting list at anfield for like 10 years and have barely moved down the queue

i don't even remember being in a queue. I never even rang them to make an enquiry about season ticket availability.

This was basically my experience too. Was on the waiting list for maybe 1 season then got season tickets for me and my dad in the top balcony absolutely no trouble. Our first season was Silva's first season btw. Maybe the waiting list is for prime lower gwladys seats?

Just on the capacity thing that a few people have mentioned, it's obviously very difficult to know either way for sure, but I think people massively underestimate how difficult it would be to basically add 50% on top of our current attendances overnight. We could do it for big games, no problem, but I really just don't see where we magic up an extra 20-22k fans for a midweek game against Burnley or whoever, especially if we're still performing like we have been for the last few years.

I’ve been on the waiting list with my lads for about 3 years now. Highly doubt I’ll get one until we move to BMD. If I’m offered one this year I’ll be happy to pay the rise, it’s still great value for 19 games of premier league football.

I’m currently a member and have a window to purchase individual tickets. Gotta be quick because they go or you’re left with the back rows of the lower G where can’t see a thing unless you crouch down and then peek around a post (still charged £42 like). I’ll go to about 8 games a year, works out about £330. So yeah, I’ll pay the price for an extra 11 games and a better view.
