Why did they even go to digital tickets? Just to make money by alot of us paying a fiver for the card?

To be fair, the potential long term benefits of the system outweigh the negatives because it'll offer a safer, quicker and more environmentally system.

In an ideal situation, tickets can be allocated nigh on instantaneously so no need to wait for tickets to arrive and reissued if necessary.

The system also offers the capability to quickly and safely share tickets with others although, for whatever reason, Everton haven't decided to utilise this yet.

The problem is that Everton have implemented a half-hearted system with little testing, no communication with the fans and no real thought process.

So I have received the updated email following the original problems around android phones, the pass now registers that I have Google pay but say it can't be installed on this device! Joke! Anyone got this??

Cracked it. If anyone is having the same issue, load your email in a web browser, do not click on the link in the email from your email app. For me, I had to sign into outlook.com in Chrome then click the link from Everton rather than use the outlook app - daft, but it worked.

This worked! Thanks! Seems loading your email account through Google chrome does the trick!! Couldn't have been a more everton process!

I've had Google Pay installed for about 3 years n0w. On advice in this thread I have somehow managed to load a nice looking royal blue ticket with all the correct details but no code on Wallet Pass.. Might this work? Should be fun trying on Saturday about 2.30!

Possibly a bit late now, but the wallet option is a non-starter. Definitely only via Google Pay on android. After a few attempts I finally succeeded in downloading it successfully.

Glad I paid the fiver now myself ? , only reason I got it was incase I can't make a game so I can give the ticket to someone or as a backup if lost/broke/not charged my phone, good job I did because I haven't got a digital one yet

It is although the first will not have been sent to you. At the moment, it is one or the other.
