Secret work enemies

My usual work enemy (the guy we call Jolly), came in with a bobble hat on today and then worked with it on for like 20 mins at his desk, until someone mentioned the pathetic bobble (he got the attention he wanted) and then he 'remembered' he had the hat on and took it off to a mild laugh

I think he in a AI thing that someone has made to wind me up, it's never ending. It's incredible

My last company had a good set up. They'd invite a local caterer to set up on our site with the proviso that all management staff get 50% off full price for food.

You could get some very decent meals for £3-£4.

I wouldn't usually sit near the builders, though. I once saw some big Eastern European bloke eating a tomato as if it was an apple.
All Management Staff...what divisive scumbag thought that one up? In a sentence you sum up all that is wrong in this backward, failing country.

There’s a new employee where I work and he abbreviates his own surname on his email signature.

Immediately gone to the top of my Interpol list.

Yeah, those folks who personally try to insinuate a nick-name for popular usage into work culture are weird-ones. A colleague many years back used to sign his emails with "BDC" (Big Daddy Cool) and under his name it said "Current spins" and he provided a list of recent musical albums he was listening to.

It was as cringey then as it is now.

My company were the main contractor and employed about 5% of total people on site. The rest were all employed by contractors. Saying all management staff was a bit misleading, but the staff consisted of only management staff and directors etc.

Reminds me of a lad I knew who once asked his mates to call him by his self appointed nickname, Macca.

Needless to say, they did not oblige.

i had the nickname 'lino' from like 12 or so, due to my surname being Lines. it's worn off from the majority of my mates, but the odd few still call me that naturally so i sometimes get introduced as that and i greet them with a pathetic handshake or wave

painful
