Secret work enemies

In my previous career, I was on a couple of bargaining committees. Our HR head was simply a stupid cow -- one time she opened her yap during negotiations and conceded a major point in our favor. The head of the company's team just glared at her and told her to sit there and shut up. She was not at the next bargaining session or any others after that.

Been a bit boring for me recently sadly

I've had so many awkward situations since the Christmas party girl that I don't dare leave my desk

It's probably all just karma for me being me at work for all these years

I've had:

One guy telling her how much she looks like my girlfriend

We got asked to pretend to be a 'work couple' for a work brochure (we're having a meeting with HR about this as we are both pretty annoyed since there are many work couples and it's quite out of order)

To which I heard her awful Oxbridge friend say to someone re: the brochure 'why are they asked him he looks like he skateboards to work' lol lol

Just to confirm, I am not going to be anywhere on the brochure

Yes, I see they're officially known as People and Culture now at mine. The bunch of useless leeches.

The email from marketing was amazing. Something like 'look like you are enjoying a drink in a candid setting (pub) and if you both agree, touch her on the arm'

And that was going to show the social aspect of the firm

I think they were kind of thinking they were laid back and cool as there was going to be a photo of people in a pub or something. I've no idea if they have asked others but since people found out I know two real couples who said they won't do it

The fact I have even been the subject of conversation in a marketing meeting makes be feel ill. Sitting there with pros and cons. They probably thought I'd feel honoured or something, melts

I've posted this meme on here before, but I'm going to give a bit of background story to it, well, at least as I had heard it.

So in this particular company, the marketing department was also responsible for the website design, as well as maintaining it.

It was probably an executive decision to keep it in-house and not outsource it to an IT company as a way of saving costs.
Well, that would be my best guess.

So anyway, the board of directors wanted a photo of them looking suave for the website, and one of the employees was tasked with handling this.

I'm not to sure on the specifics, but apparently at the same time the same employee had an altercation of some sorts with the company. He was probably denied a raise or incentive or something like that. So he hands in his letter of resignation, and on his last day he posts this on the website:



It took a week before they noticed it and took it down, but by then it was too late.

It spread like wildfire on the interwebs, hence why I'm still able to post it here!

Lesson to be learned: Don't treat your employees like rubbish!
