"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break of the game, every minute, every second. On this team, we fight for that inch. On this team, we tear ourselves, and everyone around us, to pieces, for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches, that's gonna make the FUKN difference between winning and losing. Between living and dying. I'll tell you this...in any fight it's the guy who's willing to die who's gonna win that inch. And I know if I'm gonna have any life anymore it's because I'm still willing to fight and die for that inch. Because that's what living is. The six inches in front of your face. Now I can't make you do it. You gotta look at the guy next to you. Look into his eyes. Now I think you're gonna see a guy who will go that inch with you. You're gonna see a guy who will sacrifice himself for this team. Because he knows that when it comes down to it, you're gonna do the same for him. That's a team, gentleman. And either we heal...NOW...as a team. Or we will die as individuals. That's football guys. That's all it is. Now...WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO?"

I prefer this scenario. 93 minutes of close football, tough and hard-fought. Felli wins a free kick just past the midline. Hibbert launches it in the air, Gerrard comes up to clear it with a header, and it ricochets off his head and into the goal.

Wait, there's another Evertonian in St. Louis???

It really is all about us on saturday i believe. WE are in the groove. WE are firing on all cylinders. WE have momentum. IF we turn up with the right desire we WILL win. Jelavic is on fire. Fellaini is majestic at the moment. Heitinga is in the form of his life. Cahill looks like his old self again. Baines is, well, Baines.

Its all about us.

Drenthe to Start after Last nights developments?

Brad Jones looked seriously ropey last night, he was a bag of nerves, I think Gueye was the front runner to start but will Moyes now have a rethink and stick Drenthe on from the start with instructions to simply ping the ball at their keeper for the first half hour???

I don't know why we're all excited about Brad Jones being in goal. Probably a better keeper than Doni. And last derby I don't think we had a shot on goal. Or not a worthywhile one anyway. Yes we need to work him but he's no pushover. Decent at Boro. Aussy international. Plus playing for his late son. If it's in anyway possible, I think last night worked out for 'them' better. Surprise surprise.

well for the hour he was on the pitch last night he was poor and not just for the calamatous penalty he gave away, I dont really get your point about us not having a shot in the last derby, it's pretty obvious that circumstances have changed dramatically since then...

I don't see how. We were on a good run of form, they were on a poor run of form. They ****ted us. We hardly had a shot on goal.

Yeah we will have a better team out but I don't think it will come down to who's in goal. I think it will be who plays with the more desire, who chases down every ball. We need to do to them what they did to us in the last derby.

I am very nervous at all the confidence going into this game. We all know that they have a sign over us. We need to respect them as they are still a decent team with players who can hurt us. And even if they weren't, the derby is still the derby. Form goes out of the window. If we turn up, we can beat them as I believe that at this current moment in time, we have a better side (although they have money and will no doubt make some decent buys in the summer). That's all I can say atm. Am I supremely confident we will turn up? Definatly not. Everton scare the **** out of me.

I dont know why Gueye is being thought of as an automatic starter. He wont start. No chance. Coleman will start on the right and Osman on the left. Drenthe off the bench at some point.
