I thought Holden's explanation was spot on - the goalkeeper prevented a follow-up, which otherwise easily could have resulted in a goal. YMMV.

What was the goalkeeper supposed to do once the guy had put the ball past him, disappear in a puff of smoke? If the shot had been decent it would have been a goal, as it wasn't and there were 2 defenders there........

Doesn't matter anyway as the Argies have just scored again.........................and the goalkeeper brings the scorer down again.
