I was a keeper: that was always a penalty. He got nothing on the ball before he impeded the man. Mind you, seeing as sometimes they want to penalise goalkeepers for the barest of touches on opponents in a contact sport even after they have touched the ball, I can understand some disgruntlement. But that was always a penalty. That crazy decision against Szczesny means that a challenge like today's is always resulting in a pen. The defenders left him down big time. He had nowhere to go and was, essentially, exposed. The team was punished.
