In all seriousness, I'm of a younger generation so it was nice to see England do well for virtually the first time ever but they'll rue this defeat for decades to come. This was about as clear a route to a final that any team could wish for (again, similar to Liverpool) but Croatia's 5 man midfield was just far too strong.

I thought Southgate made the wrong subs, Alli and Lingard were anonymous today and both should have come off before Sterling. Kane didn't look right either, he could barely move after about 70 minutes.
