People on here saying England have played no one of note, have had an easy run not face any good players. Well all this is largely true but they don't chose their opponents they didn't choose the group to play in, like a lot of people on here I'm not to bothered about the national side, I can take or leave international football but I'm willing to give credit where its due, I think Southgate has done a terrific job in this WC and I hope they win tomorrow and even go on and win it ( highly unlikely) but you never know. Let's cut Southgate a bit of slack and if even like me your a bit meh about England surely you want your own country to win it.
 
Mertens should of started instead of the bang average Chadl Lukaku was simply dreadful Martinez with some of europes best simply wasnt up to the job once going got somewhat warm fraud

Same old problem with Rom - when he's having a quiet game it looks ten times worse than it is by his body language and movement. Just conveys NEA even when that can't be the case.

He's a great counter attacking striker. He struggles in other types of game where he has to come short and give and go etc. Just hasn't got the tools for that.
 
Martinez was unlucky today, I am sure he will win something with Belgium at in the next 4 years or so. Cups clearly suit the man a lot more the league competition
 
Martinez did it spot on with the pieces he has. Maybe squad selection could have been a bit better, but this Belgium squad performed well and should take 3rd over either team in the other bracket. Without a lot of luck Croatia and England won't be able to beat France and would need only slightly less luck to beat a performing Belgium
 
And we kicked that fella out of goodison over these. And he was right in the end.
