Transfer Rumour Sergio Agüero

I get that, but we have Tosun, Iwobi, King and Bernard all on the wage bill providing zero output attacking wise.

The cost of Aguero would be much less than all of them put together, but the productivity would be higher. Even if he was injured half the season.

...I don’t quite see it that way. I see Aguero probably adding to the list of expensive unavailables. Whilst no doubting how good Aguero still is, surely the aim should be to acquire somebody who can regularly and positively impact games. They need to be available when most needed.

Yes, I definitely get that. Injuries are the reason we aren't in the top 4, IMO. Due to us not having the quality to replace Allan, Duke and James when they are injured.

I just think a front line of DCL and Aguero (rotating to protect the latter), would be better than we've probably ever had. Which is why I don't get the reasoning behind not wanting him.

People are quick to write players off due to potential for injury, yet we have others sat around absolutely stealing a wage whilst fit.

Not for me too injury prone and will be 33 before next season.

Belotti has 12 months on his contract and available for £15-20 million, only 27 and is a captain with a good mentality.

Be gutted when he signs for one of those Euro clubs who always pick up good players at bargain prices whilst we sign over priced players.

Is this the same Belotti that Chelsea got rid of ? He didn't exactly set the world on fire did he.

but the logic behind not wanting him makes no sense, when we have players that if fit all season provide absolutely nothing.

This makes no sense. Nobody wants the rubbish players we've got. Nobody is saying they don't need replacing.

Other players are available you know...

Apparently there's been communication between his agent and the club, wages shouldn't be a problem if some players are moved on, but a sticking point is that he's demanding Iwobi be the starting right winger. Brands is happy with it, sees him as a "generational talent", Carlo not so much.

Yes, if we had a squad that was always fit, we could maybe risk signing Aguero for some 20 minute impact cameos
However our squad is so brittle we need young players who rarely get injured like Godfrey.

No Torino's Bellotti mate - be a very good squad option who can rotate with DCL.

Never likely going to get you 20 a season but no CF who will is going to want to sit on our bench every week.
