Transfer Rumour Sergio Agüero

Absolute class act and prob would get another season or 2 in a less intense league due to his recent injury problems. I wouldn't say no but at this stage we need to be able to put the players we sign on the pitch.

We definitely need the import of a proven winner to lift the standard and expectation of the squad. I don't actually care who we sign as long as

a) Ancelotti wants him
b) it improves the football we play
c) moves our mindset from perennial also-rans to prospective challengers for ANYTHING good.

One things is for sure, Ancelotti and Brands know more about football/contracts/ability to pay and owner's money basket than anyone on here.

I think you may just have insulted all the regular transfer thread idiots with that last paragraph. They know far far more about football than anybody else.

Why does he even want to come here?

I know that sounds like a pretty defeatist attitude on my part, but he's Sergio chuffing Aguero

There have to be better offers on the table
If he didn't want to move an inch from where he currently lives there's 4 clubs he could choose from? Maybe he kind of likes the area.

Doesn't really suggest we'll be getting the best of him in that scenario does it?

He can't be arsed moving so he decides to play out his waning years at Everton. Whoopee

I dunno, he's a great player but I'm not sure we'll be getting him at his best

It's just a weird move for all concerned I think

Still, if he stays fit and his head is right he'd be a great addition, so let's hope that happens if he does indeed come here

City lucked out with Aguero, they managed to bag just about the only top tier South American player on the planet who for some weird reason actually wants to stay in our grim little country rather than move back to somewhere like Spain etc.

If I don't disagree at all. I can't imagine his hunger would be reignited at Everton in the slightest.

Why did Carlo Ancelotti want to come here? Why did James Rodriguez want to come here?
