Fair enough, I have only seen him in a handful of full matches, so I might be biased based on those. Not every mistake qualifies as an error leading to a goal, that’s for sure.

I hope that Virginia is that long term option, we haven’t really gotten any impressions that he can’t be, seems highly rated and looked assured last week.

That's true - there's one that sticks in my mind from the Europa League in 2017 when he made an almighty screw up and got away with it.

Doesn't mean he's not a good goalkeeper. I just think the deal has to be right to bring him in.

He's a short-term option and by no means a world class one (like James at the other end of the pitch), so it has to be reflected in any deal imo.

I asked a United supporting-mate about him and he said he's the definition of a steady goalkeeper. Doesn't really make match-winning saves or have any outstanding skills, but likewise does the basics well and doesn't make many mistakes. I'd take that all day at the moment.
