Gwladys St. Glory

Some like it hot...
Anyone been (apart from man-about-Earth @chicoazul ?)

Been considering but it's an absolute hell of a flight from here. Lauren wants to snorkel (we can go to the Keys/Puerto Rico for that!), I want to bike the islands and generally get the hell away as far as far as possible/drown in mixed cocktails on the beach. 2 weeks enough? (never enough time, obvs).

Gimme your skinny. I know you lot get there quite often due to the relative travel time, compared to us in Yankville, so I'm going to the source. Enlighten this redneck, please.

You’ll be bored off your tits in just a couple of days. Once you’ve done the snorkelling thing and tagged that there’s a large tiger shark circling the reef looking for a snack - what do you do next?

After a week you’ll have gone native - moved out of your lodge and setup camp in the jungle. You’ll be living on a diet of coconuts and yams whilst holding conversations with a deflated football.

Swerve - go to Rhyl instead

Unless the gaffer is dead set on the Seychelles then consider Mauritius as an alternative.

Seychelles is great, but after 2 weeks you'll be climbing up the walls with boredom. Mauritius is pretty similar and has a wider range of things to do.

Seeing as your travelling all that way why not go via Kenya or Tanzania and do a safari for a few days? (Tanzania will be cheaper and it's the same safari experience)

Or go via Benidorm and view some really big wild animals...

On the list to go, does seem a tad expensive.

I've done the Maldives a few times and the snorkeling is top class ts the Islands I've visited and price wise not as steep as the Seychelles.

Is just a case of switching off and chilling for 2 weeks as the Islands are small.

Agree with this...if you can manage a longer stretch off work, I would try to expand your trip to other places beyond Seychelles. There are some amazing resorts in northern Madagascar (never been though, just what I hear). Mauritius is also nice.
