A.N Other moderately successful, telegenic euro manger has been appointed, but the recruitment strategy has been wildly revamped. You receive a phone call (the one you always knew in your heart of hearts was destined to come) and you have been appointed Director of Incoming Transfers.

| • You have no say in outgoings, and they will occur as they did in real life |
| • You will receive all the outgoing transfer fees as the player leaves |
| • Injuries and other unpleasantnesses occur as they did in real life |
| • Only players who have moved in real life can be bought, and their reported transfer fees will apply. I will allow you to buy them at any time |
| • We will assume all players are willing to come to Goodison • We will assume wages can be covered • Miraculous recoveries in form must be supported by hard sums and extensive power point presentations. Assume players will be as good as they have been |
| • You are not allowed to buy Earling Haarland |
