Other teams actually wanted this one was though. Hopefully this lad is a player. In football.

hahahaha.

From what i have seen he has some ability - i haven't watching HIM so to speak, but when we signed him i have watched a bit of his games and the swiss league. Problem i have is the swiss league is a bag of [Poor language removed], seriously. He doesn't exactly grab the games by the scruff of the neck and drag the teams through, but thats fine he is a young player. His size and stature would take quite a bit of acclimatisation to the prem too i think.

I would be shocked if he makes more then 10 appearances next season, i think it'll be a development season before we see him properly.

One for the future with fingers crossed I would presume.

Has anyone actually seen him play? I must admit I never have and have been too lazy to find one of their games since we signed him so still know nothing about him. Hope he is a success for us but keeping a very open mind on it.

I saw literally 2 seconds of him against Ireland the other day.

I can safely say he's the best Swiss player we will ever have had, just pipping Marc Hottiger and Phillipe Senderos.

Oh he's training with us? Sound, I can't wait to hear the scout report from the cabbies who's day job is scouting out Finch Farm.

Just been speaking to my uncle, works at Manchester United and his son works as a coach at everton. Said this before and not many have taken notice, however...

He's told me niasse(Soz, Tarashaj) is abolsutely crap. Nowhere near the level we expected. I trust him and thus am no longer looking forward to this acquisition.

Also, the people working inside everton want martinez out. The unrest is actually real, not jarg.

Believe me or not, this is what I've been told.

Shani Tarashaj has been given an early integration into the Everton squad by spending this week training alongside his new teammates at Finch Farm.

The Toffees recruited Tarashaj from Grasshopper Zurich on a four-and-a-half year deal in the winter transfer window and subsequently loaned the attacker back to the Swiss club for the rest of the season.

The 21-year-old has scored four times for Grasshoppers since his move to Goodison Park was announced and during the recent international break he made his senior debut for Switzerland, playing in the friendlies against Republic of Ireland and Bosnia.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed how Tarashaj was invited over to Merseyside earlier this week to aid preparations ahead of his switch this summer.

Martinez said: “The agreement that we have with Grasshopper is that we work closely together and the relationship is very good, which allows Shani to come over on sporadic visits.

“We can keep an eye on his programme in a way we train different aspects of his preparation and try and adjust him to the needs of the British game.

“It’s been great to see him - Monday and Tuesday was a very productive visit for him. He developed a lot more understanding of what he needs in recovery, techniques and, more than anything, the physical aspects.”
