We were brilliant defensively yesterday, I doubt there have been many other teams that have stopped Sheffield United having a shot on target all game. Great header by Richarlison although he didn't play too well, but I guess worth a place in the starting 11 because he can do that. Like others have said I though Davies had a good game and I have bee a bit critical of him recently, Sigurdson was better than he has been for a while, I actually thought Gomes was very good he seemed to control the tempo of the game in the second half.

Sure I heard commentator mention only 2nd time in x (4 maybe?) amount of years they haven't had a shot on target.

I know nobody is allowed to say anything nice about him anymore (justifiably for the most part) but that free kick off Siggs for Richy’s goal was absolutely perfect.

Gilfi can be a game changer when he's arsed, I was thrilled when we signed him and I have no idea why he looks so disinterested most of the time with us.

In the first half yesterday, I had the feeling they were trying to take the oomph out of the Utd players legs. It didn't look pretty and didn't work quite as well as it might do with better players but it's a tactic I can understand given our lack of quality. The goal was genuinely thrilling - in my view at least.

Really can't complain about the defence. Thought they were immense.

I don’t doubt that Carlo knows how effective he could/can be in his preferred position and with some better midfielders in and around him. As much as he’s been the whipping boy this season I reckon Carlo will have him very much in mind for the new season.

He has got that technical quality no doubt.

But its very rare that we see it.

He's a passenger apart from a nice cross or shot every few games, and we cant afford to be carrying someone like that, especially not as a CM

He’s not really a CM....he’s a classical No 10 who, with a balanced midfield behind him and the likes of Richarlison in front of him could really be the fulcrum of Senor Ancelottis new Everton. I think he’s been significantly disadvantaged with some of the limited ability around him.
