Also the number of uninsured drivers has increased and this will turbo charge the issue. No room in prisons for rapists, no plod to be arsed to catch them let alone driving offenders. Burglaries not attended, knife crime epidemic, A&E unstaffed, 6 hour wait on an ambulance, and front page news is once again a tougher line on the Rwanda deportation smoke screen. 'great' britain my rear end!

No not the kick in the goolies from the Premier League today.

Just got my auto renewal quote car insurance

Now I'm not going to go into what car or level of cover , but it's gone up from £528 to £855.
My circumstances have not changed , no claims for over 30+ years , no convictions.

My daughter said the other day her insurance has jumped up , tbh I never really paid attention.

Obviously I'm going to find an alternative cheaper quote , but this is absolutely ridiculous for someone that has been with this company for over 10 years .

Nothing much in life shocks me now , but this certainly has. So just wait for yours to drop its tough to take.
All car insurance and house insurance etc is set to rise this year by 30% at least..

My car renewal went from 220 to 400.

Just got my house insurance yesterday, 250 up to 340..

Kin disgraceful.

Just got my renewal quote from my current insurers the other day, looks like it's stayed pretty similar at least. Gonna have a look around this afternoon see if I can get anything better.

The company I was with, Adrian Flux, who are specialist insurers, had always been brilliant and very competitive.
Used to be with them back in the day, but sacked them off years ago when they wouldn't give me a competitive quote (not cheaper, just competitive), even tho I'd been with them trouble free for 7/8 years at the time.

Apparently electric vehicles are causing a massive headache to the industry. A simple crash often requires the battery to be replaced which invariably writes the car off. This in turn has led to a period where insurers would not quote on electric cars or charge thousands if they did.

I'd imagine the government has intervened here but I guess everyone is now paying a lot more to basically subsidise that area of the business in the name of progress.
That’s what I’ve been told by a panel beater I know. Massive repair costs for minor damage to these batteries.

They’ve always been great with me. My van is customised, so main stream insurers won’t touch it. Adrian Flux always provided the cheapest and most compression policy.

I had a minor prang in mid November so haven't had my car since, rang the panel beaters yesterday to ask what the hell is going on as its been 2 months, oh parts will be here next week. Useless pricks.

Looking forward to a huge increase this year since I made a claim

The parts shortage is very real mate, especially electronics, which for some bizarre reason seem to come from Ukraine.

I‘ve had mates whose cars have been off the road for months, all because a chip had gone and there were non ( at the time) anywhere in the world !

This in turn has lead to a massive increase in cars being stolen to be chopped up for parts.

I insured insured my late mother's empty house with them before the pandemic. I had problems over a claim when they wouldn't pay out. So in the end I told them Adrian Flux off.

Had to sort home insurance out last night. Best price on go compare was double what we paid last year. So 100 percent increase. Nothing changed in terms of cover.

How the hell do they get away with it? It's like there's some anti competition agreement going on between providers.

Just been on the phone web chat with GoSkippy (my current insurer) about my quote, and they gave me a deal for another £40 cheaper. By far the best quote I've had from anyone now, and also significantly cheaper than the quote I got from them when I went through the price comparison sites. Fella on the chat was super helpful and efficient also. Recommended.
