Shocking Refs

Like sgit this is kopite behavuour. Have a word with yourselves, they are a nonsensical cult, this is genuine and appropriate frustration for some terrible refeering inconsistencies

This. Everyone being so scared of being compared to kopites that they'll just refuse to complain when something actually happens to us is just ridiculous.

No it isn't.

What does moaning about it on here do?

Nothing.

I mean whinge away. We've had some bad calls. No doubt about it. And if it makes you feel better moan your heart out.

But in reality it's just the way it is. Nothing will change.

It's not just us who get bad decisions. It's everyone. Refs are not up to standard but it is not just us.

Obviously we watch Everton more than anyone else so it feels like we are getting rough justice. But in reality all teams are victims of this god awful officiating.

errrrrrrrrr when did I say it would do or achieve anything? I'm simply saying it's stupid to say "NO! NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT ANYTING EXCEPT OUR OWN PLAYERS, ITS KOPITEISH TO THINK THE REF GOT SOMETHING WRONG!"

if something is wrong or bothering us we must make a big noise - that is our only hope\chance to change it before we die in the blanket ..... if nobody makes a noise NOTHING will change - that is a given

I kind of agree here.

If you're gonna make a noise about it then make a proper noise. Actually do something about it.

I have no idea what though.

Decent quote that by the way.

thanks for the support zed - some philosopher ( sorry english is my second language ) said :- if you come with a novel idea : first they laugh at you ,
then they get angry at you ,
then they insult you ,
then they attack you
and then they agree with you -
so don't give up the fight for justice mate - justice for all because two wrong decisions does not add up to a right one

when theres a game on and i dont care who wins i always side against the dirty, diving, professional fouling team. i cant stand cheats and it makes the victories sweet when you see them lose.

i`m not one to stand on someones face when they are on the floor so i`m not going to high-light the quotes in bold.

What is going on here. Can people please either discuss it logically, sensibly and politely.

Winding people up will get you a suspension.

When I write things like this, it's a polite request. It's a polite request, because we've had numerous complaints about this thread and it's causing aggro.

Sending the admins arsey messages calling us lazy is not advisable if you enjoy this forum and it's freedoms.

What does moaning about it on here do?

What does moaning about anything do? nothing, why moan about Kenwright, a poor performance from a certain player, a haircut etc? cos its a forum and that's what its there for.

Nothing.

Cheers we will

But in reality it's just the way it is. Nothing will change.

True but it may stop some simply blaming our good performances for these draws when they should of been wins

There's a table by a panel of various supporters puts us at the bottom of the decisions so I think cause for moaning is a just one this time round. Hence why I havn't just gone with okay ref's get it wrong sometimes.. Its relentless.. There have been more game changing decisions go against us than games.. 14 in 14 but if you exclude United which I can't think of anything that doesn't seem excessive to you?
We are not talking the odd foul here, I am talking goals, pens, red cards and nothing less game changing thnn that except perhaps for the Norwich game which was simply a soft freekick that resulted in a goal. That's simply mental imo and not opinion either.. the facts are there for all to see.

How has this thread possibly got complaints?.. get a grip people.

I hear you, but you just seem to want to win a non existent argument here ?

Which of the two very existent debates are you referring to?
That players are being blamed for dropping points for not being good enough, despite being the best team and clearly doing enough?
Or that we are losing points through a large amount of poor decisions?

At the risk of throwing fuel on the fire, I'm gonna have to say that the ref was poor in the city game BUT his penalty decision was right. It's contradictory to complain that we should have got the penalty for Arteta's hacking down of Pienaar on Wednesday whilst ALSO saying that Felli on Dzeko shouldn't have been given.

I lost count of the number of times Barry and Toure kicked and pushed our players yesterday. One particular passage of play saw Toure kick Fellaini's leg, then kick him between the legs, then kick his shin and then Barry came steaming in shoulder first and flattened Fellaini. No yellow. Absolutely ridiculous.

Barry delivered another bodycheck in similar fashion later on, and both Toure and Kompany repeatedly grabbed Jelavic and Fellaini and threw them to the floor. At one point towards the end, Jela knocked the ball bast the defender and then launched INTO the defender shoulder first, clearly having had enough. We got the free kick (it was the one jela then drilled in low, forcing a parried save from Hart) but it demonstrated what a rough deal Jela had been getting.

I thought we looked better yesterday generally, just as we did against Arsenal. The performances in both of those games were vastly improvements on what we saw against Norwich, Reading and Fulham.

Those aren't two separate debates, they're two different views on the same debate.

It's strange that you don't understand the two can co-exist. Simply put, we have been on the rough end of a lot of bad decisions, but in games against "lesser" opposition (ie Reading, Norwich, Fulham) we ALSO played poorly so the ref's bad decisions can hardly be seen as the SOLE reason for dropping points. Against the stronger teams (Newcastle, Arsenal, Man City and, although it pains me to say it, the RS) we played well and can justly complain that the poor decisions were a major factor in dropping points. Equally we played well at QPR but were given a poor call (the penalty not given) and then a ridiculous handicap (reduced to 10 men for a non-existent second yellow) - every right to complain.

It's possible to look at each game not just for poor decisions but also to objectively evaluate the standard of our play and the standard of the opposition, and then work out what we should reasonably expect from our squad against various different opponents. If the players fail to deliver then this needs comment, irrespective of whether the ref has performed well on the day. It's not like a bad ref's shift somehow exonerates the players if they've played poorly in the same game.
