Should Dyche be sacked?

He ain't getting sacked. We can't afford to do so.
Bournemouth game is big but even if we lose it, they still won't pull the trigger.

I've previously backed him as I do with all our managers. Football is a simple game. It's just managers, ex-pros and pundits who try to make out it's some sort of quantum chess game.

From the start I said having Young at RB against their pace was asking for trouble. Doucoure is no good in a passing possession style. It's his weakness. Luton are suss defending crosses so Beto should have been on with Harrison on the right. It was imperative that we did not go behind and we did. DCL and Doucs on if we were ahead and Luton chasing the game.

Dyche did the exact opposite of all that. I've given him the benefit of the doubt up until now but losing at home to Luton with the players he had available is just a huge red flag.

I hope we act quickly.

For me, the setup at Villa worked: we looked confident on the ball, forward-thinking and a threat. This was the perfect system to go up against a dire Luton.

But instead, we reverted to having Gana in the middle, Garner shoe-horned on the right and looking to hoof the ball diagonally to people who weren't there.

It's stuck in the past.
Honestly mate that set up in the first half midweek was probably a fluke by Dyche but he should have realised he'd hit on something. I truly thought and hoped that same first half side against Villa would have played, Keane included to be fair. But no, for some manic reason he reverted to the style that's seen us battered at home week in week out. It's honestly as though he doesn't actually see what's happening on the pitch or understand it. It's fine wearing a smart suit, carrying his briefcase to work and looking managerial speaking behind his hand and all that crap, sadly the proof is there for all to see, he's a serial loser at this level and will not advance Everton if he stayed for 30 years.

Who on earth do we bring in to replace Dyche?
We are the ugly sister of the premier league, so unattractive to any decent manager.

Potter is available, but not a chance.
Ruud van Nistelrooy did great things at PSV before he left and played good football.
Dean Smith, Lopetegui, Hassenhuttl, and Solskjaer all free too. But would any of them come?

There's a reason certain formations and lineups work away from home though, where you can counter and aren't expected to have possession and break the opposition down. It's been our problem for seasons that we can't take a game to a team that sit back against us.

Luton manager was very confident in his team getting a result against us as he knew exactly how we would set up. We must be the easiest team talk opposition for the rest of the P/L teams.

Smith, hassenhuttl and solskjaer would all crawl across broken glass to get the job

Agree with a lot of that but the set up did work very well irrespective of venue. We looked like we had a midfield with Garner in position. Onana flourished too and proper chances were made and goals were scored. I honestly thought todays line up was more inkeeping with how you'd set up away to city then at home to Luton.

Definitely.

"Lads, we need to get the ball wide because their full backs are poor. They are unlikely to offer much threat on the wings so be brave when attacking and don't be afraid to push up. They aren't very capable of playing through teams, so work hard and force them into mistakes, which they will make. The longer the game goes on, the quicker their heads will drop. If we can nick a goal the fans will be on their backs and we need to try to force a second one in. They'll resort to hit and hope so crowd out their striker(s) and get your head on it. Be aggressive; they lack leadership and will definitely lose the physical and mental battles."
