Once the manager starts using the fans as an excuse for losing, it is always the beginning of the end of their tenure. It is completely down to Dyche and his team to take the nervousness away from Goodison and it starts by giving them something to be proud of and not losing every single game. Don't give a toss about lame excuses and diverting blame, nobody else can change it but him and his team.

Supporters are angry and frustrated with half assed efforts, baffling selections, negative tactics and never ending defeats and embarrassments and they have every right to be after being in relegation fights for 3 years running with zero improvement.

There is no way back for this beaut. One of the worst Managers we have ever had, period.
Not shammed to admit, he is who I wanted last season when we looked buried. Thought he would come in at at least get us more more solid defensively and organised. I sort of let him off last season, due to being in the middle of the season and injures etc. This season however we look worse at defending across the board, are set pieces are a joke and we can’t defend corners or set pieces. He has had more than enough time to address the set pieces at both ends. Just wanted him to come in and give us a foundation, all be it boring mid table but safe until the new stadium and then hire a more progressive manager when financially we where better. Only reason I wanted him was for that, plus we had limited options at the time and knew we would have to work with a tight budget which he has done. But he hasn’t improved us anywhere on the pitch, we have got worse. Now he will say but are XG is more top half, doesn’t matter his team selection set the standard yesterday from the off.

I don`t agree with the Pep analogy, over time you`d see Peps plan coming through in terms of patterns of play etc, and results will improve from that, again as the players learnt his way of playing, this might take longer further down the line due to ability but you`d soon see an upturn in style and results.
Disagree, to play his patterns and know exactly where you need to be and where you're moving to next for a multitude of situations requires a degree of footballing intelligence before the coach starts sharing his plan. Many players heads would just explode.

You need great players to play Guardiola football. Port Vale/Scunthorpe/Wrexham/Everton don't have that many great players.

It's possible we'd be no better.

There's a reason city very rarely pick up a 5m bargain first team player, it's because they wouldn't be able to cope.

If he has actually said the players are nervous playing at Goodison then we need new players. Mentioned it yesterday, anytime we are expected to go out and get a result we crumble. Mentality of the players is beyond weak.
100%. The away games against Brentford and villa let’s be honest where expected loses. No pressure on the players then. But as soon as we are expected to win we crumble, we should be going into most games bar 2-3 going let’s get a result today.

Mentality of the club is a disgrace. Has been for so long and it’s naturally fed down to the managers and the players. Yeah they say all the right things that it’s Everton blah blah.

Or we need a manager that doesn’t shoehorn players into an utter negative formation, at home, to Luton

He still thinks he’s at Burnley, he has no idea how to inspire the crowd or pick a winning team.

He’d rather try to snatch a 1-0 win than put a team to the test. And that feeds back into the crowd we know we’ll be subject to 90+ minutes of eye gouging football

Do you think lower league players are idiots? Like I say they would take time to understand it but you`d see a progression towards what the manager wanted.

How do players come from lower leagues to be able to play in the PL?

City don`t shop in the same place as us, they want to be the best so they buy the best, even when they do buy good players they have a period out of the team until they are fully integrated and know the system, with probably the exception of Haaland.

We need new players because too many of our purchases in recent years have not been up to scratch. The 'noise' around the club and players being nervous at Goodison are just two excuses that he has trotted out to deflect from team selections which is 100% his responsibility.

Every club in the league has our number doesn't matter if we are at home, away, abroad, the moon. Luton's manager fancied his chances against us because of how we are setup to play. Says it all.

He keeps repeating the nervous energy at home line, he's the only one creating the nervous energy.

It's creating a problem in the minds of the players that excuses them from basic performance and required standards.

He's sh#te, doesn't just need sacking, needs culling too. What a stain he and others have been on our once glorious club.

I though Fat Sam was bad for passing the blame, but this fella is streets ahead.

Imagine putting that team out and the blaming the fans. He honestly thinks this is Burnley and we just accept the crap he’s serving up

I think it is the mentality of the manager..... His whole career he could play this sit in and counter brand of football, at Watford and at Burnley becasue they were never the ones in possession or control of games so they played that way HOME AND AWAY, teams come to Goodison and sit in and he is completely baffled how to deal with that!

I personally wouldn't sack now, that said I wouldn't keep for beyond this season unless there is a huge turnaround. I still think we'll be okay.

Hopefully 777 get the right people in, and identify a coach to take us forward so for once, a new manager can come in with a plan.

We've been crap for 3 seasons now and 'not accepting it' hasn't exactly done us the world of good.

There's a vicious circle for sure at the moment. Get the feeling the crowd go in not expecting much and on edge, our players bottle it, opposition take advantage.

Seems to get worse as home defeats rack up. Think the same happened under Lampard too. Benitez certainly, but was never going to take much for Goodison to turn on el Gordo.
