No. In footballing terms it is synonymous with them. To start to use it even if we could would look as though we're trying to co-brand ourselves as their other. At the very least ape some of their image recognition.

Everton have enough idenitity and heritage as a club to not need to do this sort of thing.

I believe we used that emblem first, and it's a representation of the city. I have no problem with Everton using it, and knowing how much it would make some of them wet their beds, I'd love the club to revisit this part of OUR heritage.

I think they did copyright the Liver Bird.

They were knocked back by the City Council but IIRC they I seem to recall took it to Europe and the EC allowed them to do so.

If I am right, then happen there will be one good thing come out of the Brexit madness.

The Liver Bird ain't yours, you beauts....

Think they got copyright because nobody of significance challenged them......The real battle will commence when they try to stop LCC , the Liverpool Echo and of course the originals , the Royal Liver themselves from using the birds

It's a no from me. The Liver Bird for me is for the city of Liverpool. I think of the Liver Bird for them secondary. I think of a steaming pile of plop firstly when speaking of the rs.

Our badge is Everton Football Club, doesn't need a rebrand or anything fancy to it, certainly no birds. What we need is trophies, winning football and producing or purchasing quality players. That's the only way you make a name for yourself and that's what we need to get back to

Thought the copyright they have is of the version they have on their tat, not the actual use of the bird for other stuff, in other representations. If that makes sense.

In other words, the LFC Liverbird is copyright protected, the Liverbird(s) are not.

Clearly im not from Liverpool, but as an Everton fan that bird makes me puke, its on their shirt and it reminds me of them.

Let them keep it, I dont want it.
As you say .Clearly you're not from Liverpool ........The Liver birds are the emblem of the city of Liverpool and all scousers whether red or blue are in awe of them.......try and understand that.
