What did Shambolic FC use before the Liver Building and Liver Birds were more symbolic of the city (i.e. at the time we were using it)?

I'm not that bothered about their use of it - more bothered of the mirroring of that by the LFC Echo with their RED Liver Bird. If that so-called newspaper wanted to be seen as a serious proper example of journalism their bird would not be red.

Of course we should talk in terms of it being Liver Bird S>>t

Only if we do it for a laugh, get everyone in on it and just pretend we didn't notice they'd been using it and that we genuinely don't understand what they're getting so worked up about.

Not for me.

I get why some people don't like the fact that that lot have hijacked the image of the Liverbird and now it's forever associated with them and not the city itself but that's just clever marketing from them. I would prefer us to just modernise Prince Rupert's tower and make more of an effort to maintain it. It's sad that it's stuck in such a horrible part of the city and is left forgotten. The club should buy it and do up the grassy area that surrounds it, make a genuine effort to make it more of a tourist attraction.

I like our current badge but at some point in the future I'd really like it to just be the tower with no shield, like we had in the 80s. Just no wreathes or EFC with it either, emphasise the tower and make it the proper symbol of the club like RS have done with the bird and Spurs have done with the cockerel, where people see the image and know straight away which club it is and you don't need the name or initials. You only see it for a split second but I like what MOTD have done with us in the intro.
