Should Ferguson have stayed as a coach or should he have looked to manage elsewhere?

As I said: who let's him make the decisions about staying on here?

He chooses to to this, or he chooses to do that. WTF employee has that luxury?

One that is valued by the club and owners ?

Non of us are privy to what goes on behind closed doors at the club.

If an incoming manager objected to his presence on the coaching staff that strongly, surely they wouldn’t just take the job.

Or maybe he has the biggest portfolio of compromising photos, of managers in the world !

Doubt that tbh. Club mascot? No thanks.

Anyone here would kill to have played football at the highest level, like he did, but that's about as far as it goes with Dunc.
So you wouldnt want to go to Finch Farm every day? Train the players and then become manager on 2 separate occasions, to then get your old job back and go back to training the players?

I mean to me it seems like a dream life.

Who shouldn't have been placed in which position? Sorry it's unclear.
Lampard. He shouldn't have to be in the position where he keeps a coach on.

Do you think he honeslty wanted that? He's hired about 4 people to do the jobs he wants doing.

...well when has he applied for a job other than Everton?

He's 50 now, he better get a move on hadn't he?
Dave's is spot on. He wants to be Everton manager but has no desire to be manager anywhere else.

That much is obvious, he's never in the running for other jobs and seemingly never applies.

If he has any managerial ambitions like he insists he has, he must be getting embarrassed now. There's a few premier League managers a lot younger than him. Lampard for one!

The thread was pointless from the beginning. Dave didn't do the right poll. He chose his own agenda in the poll.
The wording of the poll is completely fair. The Electoral Commission would be hard pressed to come up with a more neutral set of options.

The forum has spoken and it believes overwhelmingly that Ferguson should be getting a manager's job elsewhere. Sorry if that's inconvenient for you.

He's 50! He will never venture outside of this club, that much is for sure. The only question for me is how he get's to make that choice.

What a football club this is: hopeless for 30 years and still allowing no marks who played for it to steal a living off them.

The poll was inspired by your claim that most Evertonians would not want Frank to hire Dunc. You chose something entirely different.
