If you can't get yourselves up for a derby there's no hope. It was clear the players weren't interested last night - they've lost faith in him. Give him out and let Royle take over till the end of the season with Dunc as his assistant. At least we'd have some passion fight back for the semi.
I don't think that's going to be the case. They have apathy and unaccountability ingrained in them for so long, we actually need to look at the possibility that many of them are scarred long term.
Every day he is here he is possibly doing them more damage.

A new manager would definitely give a change of attitude - even if it's only a little bit. Especially when it's two people who love the club like us in charge, of a semi final at Wembley, when everyone thinks we've lost before it's even began. Passion, fight and team spirit is always a good start - and currently we have none of it.

I'd be more than happy to eat my words on Sunday but if Martinez is in charge on Saturday our cup run is over and things are going to get nasty. May as well give ourselves a chance.

The manager is having an awful time granted, but he should see through this cup run.
Define awful. There's been not one single redeeming qualities about our play the second half of the season. We've been inept and passionless for too long. Please tell me what have you enjoyed watching in the games this year. Didn't think we'd win yesterday but I thought we'd fight. The fans aren't behind him, the players look lost. He absolutely does not deserve to be in the dugout for the semi.

Edit: It was only 4-0 because Liverpool took the foot off the gas. Have a long think about that. The opposition manager said it wasn't enjoyable because there was no fight! You want that excuse to represent Everton another second?

I've been through some dark days in my time supporting the blues. Last day survival etc. But even then what I could never complain about was a lack of passion. A lack of drive. RM has turned a very good squad of players into an awful team devoid of any ideas or passion. That have no redeeming qualities of which a supporter can latch onto. For that reason he must go now, not Sunday after we are humiliated again - which is an absolute certainty - and definitely not the end of the season.

I still can't see why you would think he's despicable apart from you saying he is being stubborn in the way he plays, how anyone can call him despicable for being stubborn i don't know.

.... do you not find the very simple idea of a person being SO arrogant & ego-bound as to always assume that what they're doing is right and that everyone else, and their opinion, is wrong a despicable trait to be in possession of as a human being mate?

I do.

For the sake of the 20k+ heading down to Wembley sack Martinez TODAY and give the fans at least something positive to shout about.

Keeping him in charge is the board accepting defeat on Saturday and that is not acceptable. The fans want him out, looks like the players could do with him out so do the right thing and boot him out!!
