He did give us what will probably end up being our last Goodison victory over the RS

That, the 5-1 with Brighton and the two great escapes will be his legacy I think

Plenty of managers who have had less
Great escapes? He caused the 1st one himself by not winning for 13 games and last season you went down on 23 points.. nothing great about them.

We fluked the 1st year

He is the embodiment of a bad workman always blaming his tools .
A skilled craftsman can produce a quality job regardless of the tools he has to work with.
Ancelotti even had DCL scoring goals.
This manager is the king of shoddy. His like are two a penny on every construction site , no pride in their job , just chasing their money leaving everyone one else to repair the second rate work they produce.
He is failing and still collecting £5m as the sixth highest paid manager in the PL.
Good work if you can get it !!
Time to go , Sean.
Resign
Leave with some self respect.
And a modicum of self awareness.
This club is too big for the likes of you , even now.

Bob the builder’s out of a job at the minute. Worth a punt?

I agree with you btw.

It amounts to this for me:

He's not the best manager we could have, but he's not the worst manager we could have. Change the manager and it's a massive risk, because we'd only get one shot at getting a better manager.

These players know Dyche and they like him. They'll play for him.

As long as that's the case no Everton board or future owners should even be dreaming about changing manager...and they wont be.
I think he’s lost the players Dave. He sets up defensively every game and look what happened the other day. I think he’s a busted flush and I’m not 100% sure the players do like him.
No cohesion defensively as we were all over the place. Even tough I agree with a lot of what you post I disagree with you on this.

Honestly I think we need to look at giving Baines a run of games. There's been sod all to celebrate this season, started off with that weird phase of scoring goals but conceding more and we've evolved from that to not conceding but not scoring, and evolved from that to conceding and not scoring. It's a shambles and bringing a club legend from U18s manager up to the seniors for even a short run of games might give us something to get us through this month til the new owners come in. And who knows maybe Baines could be the guy to take the steering wheel long-term.
I agree mate. Play him left back he’s better than the current one even now.

That doesn't ring true to me. 2 losses in 8 games doesn't sound like a collapse in confidence. Loss after loss after loss - yeah, maybe. This sequence is just about a failure to take the chances we do get.

The players know they cant afford to be in a team that loses our PL status - going into a new stadium, more especially. They know he's steadied the ship in the last two seasons and will stand by him. I see no sign whatsoever of players acting up and / or speaking out.
