That doesn't ring true to me. 2 losses in 8 games doesn't sound like a collapse in confidence. Loss after loss after loss - yeah, maybe. This sequence is just about a failure to take the chances we do get.

The players know they cant afford to be in a team that loses our PL status - going into a new stadium, more especially. They know he's steadied the ship in the last two seasons and will stand by him. I see no sign whatsoever of players acting up and / or speaking out.
Come on Dave. I’m sorry but the defensive shocker and the attitude of the players says it all for me.
That tosser McNeil laughing when 4-0 down. I’m sorry but that’s not acceptable and the manager’s attitude is defiantly called into question. It’s shows a total lack of respect for club and fans. I’d be raging if it was me as a player with that score line.
What will he do about that? We’ll see I suppose but I wouldn’t give him the chance. Like I say he’s a busted flush. Time to go.

Most people are stuck in the polarised loop of Dyche in or Dyche out - when really that’s ultimately not the issue at all. I don’t think anyone has blind loyalty, it’s more based on what people feel is best for Everton.

If you follow most posts carefully, the debate is actually on whether you think the players are crap and will need to be pragmatically dragged over the line by playing the percentages or the players are under performing and are actually an attacking menace
without this manager.

Danny’s made some really good points on thus, these players, were crap and struggled to perform and score for 4 seasons now. We’ve so,d our best players every season and had a negative net spend every year.

The opposite point of view is these players will start winning games with a different manager - there’s no evidence to base that on - it’s a big risk. People might be right - but what if they’re wrong, big stakes. It’s an unknown.

So what do we know? Well we know he’s managed us to safety with low point total in a first half of a season. We know he’s managed us to safety when points have been taken away from us and we were catapulted to second bottom of the league.

It’s actually only logical to think based on past performance, he has the skills. Dave made some great points last night, on the run of form and being 15th at the moment, it was worthwhile perspective.

So it’s where you sit on the risk spectrum and how good you think this group of players are or can be.

Personally as I said, if there are no resources in Jan and we can’t spend - I’m siding with the dude that’s kept us up twice all ready with this limited group.

The X as I’ve said is TFG, if they are going to protect their investment and invest in the squad in Jan, then it makes sense that that investment is players - future proofed to the satisfaction of a new manager, therefore a change in those circumstances is logical, like Howe at Newcastle.

As I say I don’t think anyone is blindly following Dyche, he’s here two years almost, that’s beyond the PL average, he’s our longest serving manager since Martinez, ultimately all mangers move on and Dyche will to - it’s inevitable, because that’s the nature of the job everywhere, when it comes to us and how it’s relative to keeping I think lads are looking at the playing squad, seeing its limited, seeing the risk and if the ability to change and invest in it isn’t there - why not trust a dude that’s done it twice here.
Lampard kept us up but we dumped him when he couldn't evolve the team when Richy left etc.

I'm a safety first type - but I'm struggling to see the Dyche plan. Suppose we will see if he gets a response with Wolves - admittedly Utd away isn't going to be make or break anytime soon.

Lampard did it with Richarlison and Gordon up front, laterally Dom.

If Dyche gets to where Lampard got, I’ll be calling for his head to, two years in he hasn’t - all be it - he did after the points deduction.

It's 6 losses in 13
The best fixture run by any metric
The joint least goals scored alongside Saints
-11 GD
Awful football that any professional footballer would not enjoy that can only be justified with results
I think the players are done with him
Besides deliberate contrarians the fans are done with him
He would be gone if we had a functioning club

Clearly he should still be here then if that’s defining mate.
Not what I said
Sacking Lampard was the right call

You said if Dyche brought us to where Lampard did you'd call for his head
Lower points tally, so the only difference is that other teams around us are worse then the ones around Lampards team

How anyone can think he's doing a good job at this stage is beyond me

Not what said either, to be clear i meant when a decision was made on his sacking.

I would have backed Lampard as well, up to Brighton at home.

We tend to sack in around the January time, so unless things change like a change of ownership, or we are struggling more than we are now (yes I suppose it is possible) and have fallen behind and possibly in the relegation zone I would expect the same sort of timescale. A bit like always making an 80 minute plus substitution

614 want him gone and 22 want him to stay. Pretty conclusive really isn't it.
“Kendall and Carter must go. 26,000 stay-away fans can’t be wrong.”

I'm being facetious of course. I'd love to see us playing under a different manager but unless that new manager is coming through the door pretty much immediately after Dyche leaves and is given money to spend then there really is no point sacking Dyche at this moment.
