Most people are stuck in the polarised loop of Dyche in or Dyche out - when really that’s ultimately not the issue at all. I don’t think anyone has blind loyalty, it’s more based on what people feel is best for Everton.

If you follow most posts carefully, the debate is actually on whether you think the players are crap and will need to be pragmatically dragged over the line by playing the percentages or the players are under performing and are actually an attacking menace
without this manager.

Danny’s made some really good points on thus, these players, were crap and struggled to perform and score for 4 seasons now. We’ve so,d our best players every season and had a negative net spend every year.

The opposite point of view is these players will start winning games with a different manager - there’s no evidence to base that on - it’s a big risk. People might be right - but what if they’re wrong, big stakes. It’s an unknown.

So what do we know? Well we know he’s managed us to safety with low point total in a first half of a season. We know he’s managed us to safety when points have been taken away from us and we were catapulted to second bottom of the league.

It’s actually only logical to think based on past performance, he has the skills. Dave made some great points last night, on the run of form and being 15th at the moment, it was worthwhile perspective.

So it’s where you sit on the risk spectrum and how good you think this group of players are or can be.

Personally as I said, if there are no resources in Jan and we can’t spend - I’m siding with the dude that’s kept us up twice all ready with this limited group.

The X as I’ve said is TFG, if they are going to protect their investment and invest in the squad in Jan, then it makes sense that that investment is players - future proofed to the satisfaction of a new manager, therefore a change in those circumstances is logical, like Howe at Newcastle.

As I say I don’t think anyone is blindly following Dyche, he’s here two years almost, that’s beyond the PL average, he’s our longest serving manager since Martinez, ultimately all mangers move on and Dyche will to - it’s inevitable, because that’s the nature of the job everywhere. So at some point all who want him to leave will get there wish, its just when, same for every manager.

When it comes to us and how it’s relative to keeping him presently I think lads are looking at the playing squad, seeing its limited, seeing the risk and if the ability to change and invest in it isn’t there - why not trust a dude that’s done it twice here.

Its fine to say "four years ago we couldnt score"...

...even recently we have:

Patterson (mostly been injured/unused).
Young
O'Brien
Branthwaite (relatively new starter)
Garner
Mangala
Iroegbunam
Harrison
Ndiaye
Lindstrom
Chermiti
Beto
Broja

13 newish players...who werent in the squad 4 years ago.

The issue is the manager.

Why not start with a clean slate in January?
Who's available in January ? Any manager now will be a panic hire.

Use the time instead to scout managers for the summer and build the structure too.

The club needs to appoint the proper people around the manager first as well. Most of the current lot including Thelwell aren't going to be there when Friedkin group does take over.

We've been lucky enough to survive with Dyche. I hate his style of play but at this point , we aren't getting relegated especially when there are so many other teams which are in a much worse position.

I wish I had your confidence

Iwobi and Onana were our best players? Ok

Each one brought in because they were deals we could afford to do and get done as opposed to deals we optimally would do if limits weren’t an issue and we didn’t have to bring home a negative net spend and feed the PSR wolf.

It’s a squad put together by players we could get within our limits not necessarily players we want without limits.

Except neither the 614 nor the 22 have any say in the matter or even any clear knowledge of what TFG, club management, or the players think about it. So pretty much the opposite of conclusive.
Conclusive with the opinions of the members of this forum, obviously.

But what about the players who were here 4 years ago but now aren't? You know, Mina, Richarlison, Gordon, Gylfi, Digne, James, Iwobi, DCl not a busted flush at that point, and a younger Coleman.

As for that list, Broja and Chermiti haven;t even been available this season, Tim has been injured for most of it, likewise Garner (or certainly not fully fit for most of it), Ashley Young isn't an upgrade on Coleman 4 years ago and I'd rather have Demarai Gray as a wide option than Lindstrom.

Just seen a comment on X saying he’d struggle to manage a brothel. Not sure that’s how the saying goes. Made me chuckle.

Be interesting to to see if Leicester get a bounce tonight. Probably leading to a West Ham sacking, who will then get a bounce of their own. We need our bounce fairly quickly. Tactical timing of our new manager bounce is our version of inverted fullbacks.

West Ham are of no concern to us currently. They won't get dragged in to a relegation battle.

It is West Ham like, so wouldn't rule it out completely, they do have form for performing worse than the sum of their parts. But my opinion is that they won't. They've lost 6 PL games this season. In August they lost to City and Villa, and since then they've lost to Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, and Forest away.

No doubt they will probably underachieve again, but maybe they should have thought about that before the NSNO 'West Ham way' clowns legged the best manager they've had in my lifetime. And no, I'm not talking about Redknapp.

They've always been a toxic club, so would be made up if they went, but alas, it won't happen this season.

And he's a spent infinitely more time inside Goodison on a matchday than the forum stalewarts who want to who hound him out. Crazy times.
Not the sharpest tool in the box are you. I explained to you yesterday it is physically impossible for every Everton fan to fit inside Goodison, that's even before you take into account the majority of the fans are STHs.

Crazy times indeed, when people like you post dumb waffle to try and be edgy.
