We should sign somebody young and full of promise because there's no way in hell we can afford Lukaku. Anthony Martial, Jurgen Locadia, zakaria bakkali, michy bathshuayi, ibrahim ezekiel, yassine benzia, or ahmed musa.

I'm down with the Belgians, so Batshuayi is a good shout. Still very young, pacey, and is scoring for fun right now.

Bakkali, though Belgian, is only 17 and is a winger not a striker. Plus he already turned down Man City in favor of staying at PSV. I think he wants to continue his development in the Dutch league.

Did he buy many players in January there? I can't really remember.

I wouldn't be rushing in January to find lakaku's replacement. Obviously if the player is available at the right price then of course no harm bringing him in earlier but it doesn't NEED to be done in jan. Jelavic being sold and replaced is vital IMO.

One thing to consider is in a WC year what player would want to come and play second fiddle to Lakaku thus harming there WC chances? Think it will be very hard to get his eventual replacement in the January window.

Just gonna keep my fingers crossed that Chelsea sign a falcao or someone simlar.
