Show us your fridge

Strange camera angle caused the effect on the liquid in the bottle of Rubicon (Cherry juice+Spring water).

Marmalade, Dijon mustard, cherry jam and mint sauce
Double cherry, I like your style. The liquid level is still way off, unless it was a whip the door open and snap asap. soured cream (tex mex/tacos?) whipping cream (devils food cake?) no hp and whats the gravy? (can see its beef) needs side snaps of door contents... crackin meat shelf...

Whipping cream is for tomorrow (home made Dorset apple cake). Soured cream is for a chilli in the coming days. HP is in there somewhere, a fridge isn’t a fridge without HP. Gravy is/was indeed beef. That went with sausage and mash for tea tonight.

Will work on side shots. Worked out the issue with the liquid, found that the bottle was resting at an angle on a rogue Oreo biscuit (kids)?

Chives & sour cream - classic combo. Didn’t buy any but there’s some garlic chives growing still in the garden so they are now deffo going in with the chilli & cream;)

Having shown you a half empty singleton fridge it's only fair to show you a pic taken after a supermarket shop.View attachment 190573

Well that stops me having to type it. I too noticed a bag of Grated Cheese. Very indulgent. Nice to see the Fever Tree mixer for the Gin. A superior mixer. And 2 bottles of Cravendale and 2 spreadable butters. Is it Pay Day?

ha ha. What's with the Spanish Inquisition lol

Spingo beer is a local beer brewed in a pub in Helston and has been brewed on the premises for over a 600 years. The "Special" is a ruby beer and is probably my favourite ale ever. But I like most strong beers and lagers, and indeed alcohol in general.

I cook a lot of food from fresh and have quite an extensive spice larder. I cook all sorts , Indian, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, Mexican, even British, and usually the spicier the better. A lot of it is quite indulgent, none more so than this one
By popular demand, well from Sassy anyway, here is my Nan's recipe for cheese and onion on toast. This comes with a severe health warning and under no circumstances partake more frequently than once a month.

Add some vegetable oil to a large frying pan. Add half a medium onion, finely diced and fry for a couple of minutes. Add two rashers of diced unsmoked bacon and stir fry for another couple of minutes. Add around 100g of diced white button mushrooms and continue to stir fry until mushrooms are soft. Add two diced spring onions (scallions) and half a medium sized tomato finely diced. Continue frying until all ingredients are soft, season with lots of pepper and some mixed dry herbs, then add plenty of splashes of the special ingredient, Worcester Sauce. Add around 200g of grated full fat hard cheese, Red Leicester is the best if you can get it, (not sure what the equivalent is in the US) and continue to fry until the cheese is fully melted, then put to one side. If the cheese seems a bit stringy add a dash of milk to the mixture which should sort it out.

Lightly toast and butter 4-5 slices of toasting bread. Add the cheese mixture ensuring that it is evenly spread across the toast, then place under a hot grill for 2 minutes to finish off. Serves 2 hungry people.

Enjoy
If you are interested in the sort of things I cook, you can find quite a few more of my recipes after this one in Sassy's thread.;)
